Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1990, An moved to New Zealand when she was nine years old and began playing golf in earnest, joining the KLPGA in 2008 and becoming a professional golfer. She then decided to make her Japanese women&#8217;s golf debut in 2017.
However, a series of bad luck at COVID-19 crisis prevented her from practicing and competing as much as she would have liked. She ended up failing to qualify for the Korean Women&#8217;s Tour&#8217;s DAEBO hausD Open last July, which was her return to competition after an absence of about a year and a half.
The result &#8220;didn&#8217;t stop me from thinking about retiring,&#8221; said Ann, who is now making adjustments for her entry on the Japan Tour. In the meantime, she is working hard to improve her fitness in the United States.
