<p>One night in June. A woman with a long mustache was walking through the streets of Shibuya, which was bustling with young people. She was Atsuko Maeda, 30. The former national idol walked alone through the scramble crossing and got into a cab. She headed for a back alley in Aoyama. She looked around, but suddenly waved her hand in a wide gesture. The man in front of him was actor Tokio Emoto (32). The two met up and went to a well-established café.</p>

<p><strong> Maeda and Emoto have been close friends for more than 10 years. The four of them, including Mitsuki Takahata (30) and Sousuke Ikematsu (31), who co-starred in the drama, formed the &#8220;ugly group. They get together regularly despite their respective busy schedules,&#8221; said a source in the entertainment industry.</strong></p>
<p>However, of the four, Maeda and Emoto have one thing in common: they are divorced. Maeda married actor Ryo Katsuji (35) in &#8217;18 and gave birth to a son, but they divorced last April. Emoto married actress Mari Iriki (32) in 2008, but it was recently revealed that the marriage had ended.</p>
<p>On the same day, Maeda and Emoto were performing in the play &#8220;Pandora&#8217;s Bell&#8221; at the Theater Cocoon in Shibuya. After two performances, they left the theater separately and came all the way to Aoyama from different directions to meet at a café.</p>

<p>They enjoyed a leisurely &#8220;cafe date&#8221; until 11:00 p.m., when the cafe closed, and then left the cafe and headed home. It was just after Emoto&#8217;s divorce had been reported, so perhaps they had heard about it. It is a common occurrence that the person you are discussing your love life with is &#8230;&#8230; before you know it. Maeda and Emoto may also become a couple after a long period of friendship, but the possibility of them becoming a couple is not zero.</p>
