<p>Three months remain in 2021. Although the number of new infections has been decreasing, we are still in the midst of the corona scare, and the film industry continues to face a difficult situation. However, there are some bright spots in this situation.</p>
<p> Although the release of &#8220;Top Gun: Maverick&#8221; and some other films have been postponed, &#8220;Wild Speed: Jet Break,&#8221; &#8220;The Suicide Squad: The Ultimate Bad Guys&#8221; and &#8220;Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings&#8221; have all been released since the summer. However, from around the summer, Western blockbusters began to be released consistently.</p>
<p> This is entertainment! The luxurious screening experience is truly exceptional. I&#8217;m hoping for the &#8220;return&#8221; of the day when we can enjoy Hollywood blockbusters on the big screen in theaters to the fullest. &#8230;&#8230; In this issue, I will introduce 10 of the biggest foreign films scheduled to be released in 2021.</p>

<h3> (1) &#8220;007: No Time to Die&#8221; (In theaters from October 1)</h3>

<p> The first major film to be affected by the declaration of a state of emergency in 2020 is this film. After a year and a half of postponement, the film has finally been released in theaters. Daniel Craig, who has been playing the main character James Bond since &#8220;Casino Royale&#8221; (2006), graduated with this film. Fans who have been waiting for the release of this film will be deeply moved.</p>
<p> This film tells the story of Bond, who retired from active duty and lived in seclusion, and is sent out on a mission again. The new characters are also very gorgeous, and the fact that Rami Malek, who won an Oscar for his role in &#8220;Bohemian Rhapsody,&#8221; plays the antagonist (and for some reason is wearing a Japanese Noh mask) has attracted a lot of attention.</p>
<p> The film&#8217;s running time is a massive 164 minutes. The film features ultra-dangerous motorcycle and car action in the streets of Italy, undercover missions around the world, stylish gunfights, and realistic shootouts. Bond&#8217;s girlfriend Madeleine&#8217;s (Léa Seydoux) secret past is intertwined with an element of mystery and a beautiful love story to create a comprehensive story of the series. The film has various elaborate touches, such as the sound effects that show Bond&#8217;s condition after being caught in the explosion, and is sure to be a superb movie experience.</p>
<h3> &#8220;Dune: Planet of the Sands&#8221; (October 15, 2011)</h3>

<p> Legendary and Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. is proud to present &#8220;Dune&#8221;, an adaptation of the legendary science fiction novel series by Denis Villeneuve, director of &#8220;The Message&#8221;. The film has already been released in European countries and film festivals, and has been highly acclaimed and a big hit.</p>
<p> Set on a planet covered with sand on all sides, the film is a magnificent epic that depicts the process of awakening of the protagonist who is entrusted with the fate of the universe. With its realistic three-dimensional soundtrack and solid music by Hans Zimmer, known for his work on &#8220;Interstellar,&#8221; it is truly a film worthy of being seen in theaters.</p>
<p> The main character, Paul, is played by Timothée Chalamet, who got his big break in Japan with &#8220;Call Me By Your Name. Timothée Charamet, who made his big breakthrough in Japan with &#8220;Call Me By Your Name,&#8221; plays the lead character, Paul, with a presence of a different dimension that is sure to become his masterpiece.</p>

<h3> Eternals&#8221; (Opening November 3)</h3>
<p> This is a new film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) that depicts the activities of Iron Man and Captain America, and has a &#8220;mythological&#8221; essence that is very different from the previous films.</p>
<p> The story is about the Eternals, who have been watching over humanity for 7,000 years, and are facing an unprecedented crisis with only seven days left before the end of the Earth. The film is directed by Chloe Jiao, who directed the Academy Award-winning film &#8220;Nomad Land,&#8221; and stars Angelina Jolie and a variety of other actors from around the world. In terms of staff and cast, it seems to be a different kind of MCU film.</p>
<p> However, since all the MCU films are connected, it is difficult to get out of the &#8220;swamp&#8221; once you get into it. The films that have been released since &#8220;Avengers: Endgame&#8221; have been challenging in terms of taste and content, and fans can&#8217;t help but be curious as to what new things they will bring to the table. The tagline, &#8220;Avengers: Endgame is just the beginning,&#8221; also adds to the sense of anticipation.</p>
<h3> (4) &#8220;Venom: Let There Be Carnage&#8221; (Opening December 3)</h3>

<p> This is a sequel to the previous film, which was a hit and was well received in Japan, with many secondary works being created. It will be a spin-off film featuring Venom, who is known as the antagonist of Spider-Man, and will be the story of a reporter Eddie (Tom Hardy) and his host, Venom, who will take on the challenge of confronting the Carnage, an intelligent life form fused with serial killer Cletus (Woody Harrelson).</p>
<p> One of the highlights of the film will be to see how the duo&#8217;s banter, which was so popular in the previous &#8220;Venom&#8221; film, and the slightly gruesome fight scenes (in which they eat their opponents) have evolved. And for fans of the film, there is also the delusion that it will be connected to Tom Holland&#8217;s Spider-Man &#8230;&#8230;.</p>
<h3> &#8220;West Side Story&#8221; (Opening December 10)</h3>
<p> Director Steven Spielberg&#8217;s adaptation of the world-famous musical, which many of you may have heard of from the 1961 film &#8220;West Side Story&#8221; (which, incidentally, also starred Rita Moreno, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1961 film).</p>
<p> The recently released trailer depicts the war between the opposing groups and the love story between a man and a woman who are attracted to each other, with colorful colors and gorgeous dance scenes.</p>
<p> With the success of &#8220;La La Land&#8221; and &#8220;The Greatest Showman,&#8221; Japan has seen a boom in musical films for people of all ages, but I wonder how much of a whirlwind the combination of master director Spielberg and a classic musical will create.</p>
<h3> Kingsman: First Agent&#8221; (December 24)</h3>
<p> This is another film that fans have been waiting for a long time. This is the story of Episode Zero of the wildly popular &#8220;Kingsman&#8221;. The story takes place in 1914. A British aristocrat and his son are on the run to end the world war. The secret story of the birth of the spy organization &#8220;Kingsman&#8221; is said to be revealed.</p>
<p> The behind-the-scenes story of how Kingsman came to be is also interesting, and the extreme action that is the selling point of this series will be fun. In the trailer, Rasputin is seen in acrobatic action as an &#8220;assassin sent to Russia.</p>

<p> It is a horror film with a psychological taste that makes viewers shiver, with its impressive neon colors and design. The film is sure to hit the mark.</p>

The grandchildren of the Ghostbusters members set out to exterminate the ghosts.</p>
<p> This film is positioned as a &#8220;legitimate sequel&#8221; following &#8220;Ghostbusters&#8221; in 1984 and &#8220;Ghostbusters 2&#8221; in 1989, and the director has passed the baton to the next generation. Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two films, was replaced by his son, Jason Reitman, who takes the helm. It&#8217;s quite an impressive succession, isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<h3> (10) Spider-Man: No Way Home (&#8230;&#8230;)</h3>

<p> Last but not least, we have the new Tom Holland version of Spider-Man. The film has not been announced for release in Japan yet, but considering that it will be released in the US on December 17th and other countries around the world are planning to release their films around that date, I would like to introduce the film with a faint hope that it will be released in Japan within the year. &#8230;&#8230;</p>
<p> As you can see from the fact that the trailer was released the other day and became a trending topic on Twitter, this is one of the most popular films. This is because this movie even features characters from the previous &#8220;Spider-Man&#8221; movies starring Tobey Maguire.</p>
<p> It has been suggested that the &#8220;multiverse&#8221; will be the theme of the MCU in the future, and that various dream collaborations will be born (some have been experimented with), and this film is the first to introduce it in earnest. There is a good chance that this will be an unprecedented festival project that American comic book movie lovers will not be able to resist. We&#8217;ll keep an eye out for more information to be released.</p>

<p> In addition to the 10 films I&#8217;ve mentioned, there are many other new films that will be released at the end of 2021.
