<h2>The &#8220;Abe victory&#8221; spiral</h2>
<p>I want to be a fighting politician. Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed this view of politics at every opportunity. He implemented Abenomics and aggressive diplomacy with the U.S. and Russia, creating an era of &#8220;Abe alone.</p>
