The official Twitter accounts used by the arrested suspects, Yoshino and Yamamoto, and the “Porn hub” website has more than 80 videos, some of which have been viewed more than 1 million times.

“Take off your top so I can take your picture. I’ll take your picture. How’s that?” (man)

I’m cold.

“If a car comes up behind us, we’ll be in real danger because we’re naked.”

A beautiful slender woman innocently poses naked on a road deep in the mountains with autumn leaves in the background. When it gets dark, she gets into an indecent act with the man who filmed her. This is a scene from a video posted on the overseas video site “Pornhub.”

On July 4, Aichi Prefectural Police arrested Takakatoshi Yoshino, 38, a restaurant owner in Nagoya, and his girlfriend Yuna Yamamoto, 22, who lives with him, for public indecency. The two are suspected of exposing the lower half of their bodies at Korankei, a sightseeing spot in Aichi Prefecture, in mid-November of last year.

One person who saw the video reported the incident to the police. Last summer, the two began posting adult videos of themselves on a website under the name “RYO & YUU. The suspect Yoshino admitted to the charge that he posted the videos on an overseas pornography site for profit, and it is believed that he made about 2.5 million yen a month, or a whopping 30 million yen a year.

A photo uploaded for a live broadcast to commemorate Yamamoto’s birthday in March of this year, with frequent video announcements on social networking sites to attract customers (from the suspect’s Twitter feed).

The video site where the two continued to post their videos has more than 80 videos available for viewing, and it is believed that they continue to generate revenue. The investigation is underway to determine whether they are guilty of any additional crimes, but in the video, they advertise that they have uncensored videos on another fan site. Is there a problem? Mr. Shuji Suzuki, a lawyer who specializes in obscenity cases, explains.

Since it is not an organized crime, it is thought that the proceeds after the arrest will come in as per the contract with the posting site, and there is no legal compulsion to delete the video. I believe that the police will ask about any additional crimes during the interrogation. Public indecency is essentially a crime even if no one is watching. However, it is difficult to be re-arrested if there is no damage report and there is no evidence. Also, even if the video is uncensored, foreign laws are applied depending on the country where the uploader is incorporated, and Japanese laws do not apply. It is difficult for the Japanese police to go out there and investigate.

What kind of punishment are the two expected to face in the future? Mr. Suzuki continues.

They could be detained for 10 to 20 days and that would be the end of it. It is also possible that they arrested him to make an example of him because he is well-known. I don’t think they will take into account the social sanctions imposed by the media coverage of his real name; the maximum penalty is a fine of up to 300,000 yen, so he will probably end up with 100,000 to 200,000 yen. Or, if you are not prosecuted, you will not have a criminal record. After his release, he may continue his activities in the same way as long as he does not commit any illegal acts such as public indecency. Generally, it is not a serious charge and can be settled with a fine, etc. Some people will take the risk and post videos if they can make more money than that.”

A mid-level employee of an adult film production company said that the arrest is not necessarily a negative thing.

Frankly, the arrest may be a win-win for both of them. It may be bad to say, but it became a good publicity. They have always been well-known in some circles, but this incident has raised public awareness. Until now, he had been posting his pictures with the women’s faces partially hidden, but if he opens up and posts them openly and proudly, he may gain some new fans.

Yamamoto denies the charges, saying he was not naked. The price for crossing the line in the pursuit of pleasure and rewarding stimulation was high. We hope that the couple, who said they loved each other enough to contemplate marriage in the future, will reflect on their actions and move on.
