Fans Delighted at Akiko Kuji’s Trendy Pink Top!
Freelance announcer Akiko Kuji has been attracting attention after posting in her instagram account a picture of her on a trendy pink top . The photo has attracted comments of admiratios such as, “Her smile is lovely,” and “She looks so cute.”
The new photo shows Kuji relaxing at a café. Her pink top suits her very well. Kuji, who is currently in the U.S., says, “I love the coolness of the terrace under the shade of the trees. I heard it’s very hot in Japan! Don’t forget to stay hydrated!”
Kuji was born in Iwate Prefecture in 1994. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, she joined Fuji Television in 2017, where she emerged in her first year as the anchor of the signature program “Kujipan” and became the main anchor of “Mezamashi Saturday” in April 2019. However, after only five years, she gave up on her announcing career and became a freelance announcer in May 2022.
Kuji worked as a model before joining Fuji. While freelance announcers are the standard after station announcers leave their jobs, Kuji’s activities do not seem to be limited to being a freelance announcer. Her activities as a model and TV personality are also highly anticipated. She also has 460,000 followers on Instagram and is expected to be active as an influencer.
Kuji also announced her marriage to Yuta Watanabe of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors. In her post about her wedding, she also published a photo of the two of them huddled together in the middle of a large basketball court together. Comments flooded in congratulating the couple for looking so happy together. Since then, they have been posting pictures of their life in the U.S. on Instagram, leading to various speculations such as, “Have they moved in the same house already?” and other speculations.
She posted that her husband to be is coming to Japan to join the Japanese national team for the “Asian Cup” starting July 12, and Kuji seems to have returned with him.
