Fans are Thrilled with Saori Kimura’s Sisterly-Bond Instagram Post
Saori Kimura, a former Japanese women’s volleyball player, has created quite a stir by posting an adorable picture with her sister on her Instagram account. Comments flooded in, saying things like, “Lovely close sisters,” “They get along so well,” and “So cute.”
Kimura uploaded a photo of her and her sister Misato, a former volleyball player, with the caption, “We bought the exact same clothes. In the photo, which appears to have been taken through a mirror, Kimura is wearing a gray sweatshirt and lots of gold rings. Her gentle smile through the mask is very soothing, just like Kimura. Her sister Misato is wearing a navy knit showing her peace sign with both hands which is very cute.
What is interesting about this photo is the height difference between the two. Fans commented, “The height difference is amazing!” and “The younger sister is 161 cm tall and the older sister is 185 cm tall, a difference of more than 20 cm. However, both sisters are very beautiful!”
Kimura was first called up to the Japan national team at the age of 17, and was tagged as a “super high school girl” at the Athens Olympics. She continued to lead Japan’s national team as an absolute ace, winning a bronze medal at the London Olympics. At the Rio Olympics, she became the first female indoor volleyball player to compete in four consecutive Olympics. After retiring from active sports, she also appeared on the runway of “Tokyo Girls Collection” due to her overwhelming beauty. She was also active as a commentator at the Tokyo Olympics.
She currently runs a cafe-bar with her family in Osaka. Last October, she released an original T-shirt to commemorate the store’s second anniversary, which attracted a lot of attention. She herself wore the T-shirt and advertised her body on Instagram and other social media.
Her younger sister Misato was born in 1991. After graduating from Shimokitazawa Seitoku High School, she joined the Toray Arrows in 2010, where her sister was also a member, and retired in 2018.
Fans will be keeping an eye on the Kimura sisters, who continue to be close even after their retirement!
