 Pacquiao is a boxing legend. the mothers were so excited that they immediately surrounded him, asking for his autograph and handshake,&#8221; said a boxing gym member.
Manny Pacquiao, 43, a Filipino national hero who has won six weight classes in boxing, came to Japan on May 20. The purpose of his visit was to participate in a charity marathon hosted by Pacquiao in Tochigi Prefecture on May 22, but on the evening of May 21, the day before the marathon, the former champion made a surprise appearance at &#8220;United Boxing Gym&#8221; in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.
 When I found out he was coming to Japan, I asked him to come because I wanted to inspire the kids,&#8221; said Pacquiao. I did, and he really came,&#8221; said Hero Bando, president of the gym.

 Pacquiao has been a senator since 2004 and ran for president this year. He was defeated, but there is a possibility that he will challenge for the presidency again. The current administration is riddled with allegations of corruption, so if Pacquiao gets serious about politics, he could be carried along by the public,&#8221; said Toshihiro Yamada, an international journalist.
Pacquiao may come to Japan as president in the near future.

 In late May, Manny Pacquiao, a six-weight boxing champion who had come to Japan to participate in a charity marathon held in Tochigi Prefecture, made a secret appearance at a gym in Tokyo a few days earlier. The gym's members and parents were thrilled by his divine presence.
