Cocomi Orchestra and Flute Performance put Shizuka’s Mom in a Super Mood!
On May 21, just after 7 pm, a Jaguar pulled up near the backstage entrance of Orchard Hall in Shibuya. A beautiful woman in a black mask appeared from somewhere and rushed to the car. It was Cocomi, the eldest daughter of Takuya Kimura (49) and Shizuka Kudo (52). She was holding a bouquet of flowers in her hand. Shizuka and her younger sister Kōki, 19, also appeared from the backstage entrance carrying a large package, making for a three-shot Kimura family photo shoot. Shizuka was in somewhat of a good mood as she talked with the staff and her daughters, and got into the Jaguar with her daughters.
Cocomi was one of three young female soloists who appeared as guests at the concert. Cocomi was one of the three young female soloists (soloists) who appeared as guests on the day. She played two pieces by Mozart on flute, and she must have been under a lot of pressure to perform with an orchestra in a venue with a capacity of approximately 2,000 people,” said a music industry insider.
What is her reputation as a musician?
Shizuka has recently been actively appearing at her daughters’ sites in the role of manager and producer; Kōki, on the other hand, has been running the celebrity circuit, including a visit to the Louis Vuitton show in San Diego, while Cocomi is suddenly putting her “artist line” to the fore. On the other hand, Cocomi is suddenly taking the “artist route” to the forefront.
In April, Cocomi released her debut album as a flutist, “de l’amour,” on the prestigious New York label DECCA GOLD. The lineup also includes the name of that Joe Hisaishi (71). In addition, on May 7, she appeared on the long-established classical music program “Ongaku no Nai Ongakkai” (TV Asahi), and made a strong impression of ‘Cocomi the Flute Player'” (source).
Cocomi has been exposed to music since she was three years old and is a student at Toho Gakuen School of Music, but she has not been able to escape the slander that she is “a shining star of her parents. Cocomi has not been able to escape from the “slander” (kodo) of the music industry.
My honest impression of Cocomi is that, like the other two soloists in the concert, she is a musician whose future is very exciting. She is only 21 years old, so she is still developing, but she is the type of musician who lets the audience hear the charm of the music rather than pushing out her own individuality. I believe that young artists like that will surely grow. I am certain that his debut album, in which he competed with world-class musicians on equal footing, was not produced with the expectation of short-term profit alone.
Cocomi is steadily making steps forward as a professional musician, and her mother Shizuka must be very proud of her.
