It was 1:30 a.m. in mid-May. Nippon Broadcasting System’s (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) staff entrance was suddenly filled with excitement. It was Haruko Nagaya, 26, vocalist and guitarist of the popular band “Ryokuoushoku Shakai,” who had just finished an appearance on “All Night Nippon X (Cross).”
What surprised us was her attire. She was dressed in an eye-catching yellow green top that instantly brightened up her surroundings. It was a style that truly lives up to the band’s name.
Despite the late night, Nagaya greeted the fans with a smile, showing no sign of fatigue. She got into the car and left the station.
“‘Ryokuoushoku Shakai’ is a four-member mixed-gender band that was formed in 2012 by a high school light music club. Nagaya has attracted attention not only for her singing but also for her model-caliber visuals, and she has more than 150,000 followers on Instagram. She is active in a variety of fields, including appearing in TV dramas,” says a music insider.
This year, they are scheduled to hold their first solo live concert at the Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) since their debut. With their “green-yellow power,” the group is expected to continue to make rapid progress in the future.
