Yukina Kinoshita’s Surge of Media Exposure May Lead to Her Comeback

Yukina Kinoshita, who once disappeared from the entertainment world after the tapioca scandal, has been slowly gaining exposure recently. Her presence in popular magazines and on famous YouTube channel is increasing everyday.

Born in Tokyo in 1987 and nicknamed “Yukina,” Kinoshita was scouted in Shibuya in 2006 and entered the entertainment industry. Her unusual answers on a quiz show made her a breakout hit, but she retired from show business in July 2020, citing the tapioca store scandal and other reasons. However, she gradually resumed her entertainment activities by restarting her Instagram, which had once been closed, and being used as a product model for a fashion brand in 2021.

I still get a lot of slander. People tell me, ‘You should ignore it,’ but I still look at it and listen to it. Personally, I can’t ignore it. Recently, she went to a barbecue with her daughter and her boyfriend (Hidetoshi Miyuki, a J-League player) on YouTube, and she said, “I feel sorry for the child. In reality, my daughter gets along with him better than I do, and I’m jealous of him. I was like, ‘What do these people know?”

In this tone, she talks about her current feelings in an unapologetic manner.

She also appeared on the popular YouTube channel “Machiroku ch~Keep telling me about your life,” which has 705,000 channel subscribers. She also appeared on Fuji Television’s “Quiz! Hexagon” on Fuji Television, she candidly talked about how she sometimes dared to get a question wrong.

She has always been popular for her open and honest character, in which she speaks frankly about her feelings. The way she speaks without hiding her true feelings seems to be approaching that of her heyday. Perhaps this is a prelude to a full-fledged comeback.
