Rape and Murder of a Wife…Unforgivable Barbaric Acts of the Russian Army and the “Lamentations” of Local Residents
It is possible to say in words that tragedy follows war. But when you see the reality of the situation, you realize that such words cannot do justice to it.
My wife was killed by Russian soldiers in late March. Just before she was killed, she was brutally assaulted, and her dignity as a woman was damaged. …… I wish I had expressed my gratitude more while she was still alive. I wish I had presented her with a large bouquet of flowers and served her a sumptuous meal. I wanted to say, ‘I love you,’ and hug her tightly. ……
My son is a little disabled and doesn’t really understand what happened. However, we know that his mother is gone. What we have lost is the future of my beloved wife and our family of three. Right now, I can’t think about anything. ……”
This is the lament of a man living in a small town near the Ukrainian capital of Khiu. His confession was so devastating that the reporter could hear no more.
He was so sad and thoughtful ……
Ms. Valentina, who volunteers mainly in Kieu, only recently noticed that something was wrong with the man. Valentina provides hot meals every day to people living in orphanages, hospitals, and poor neighborhoods. She recalls.
The man came to us with a boy, about 10 years old, to receive food and relief supplies. His son seemed to have a limp, so they came by car. But there was no mother in sight. …… The man smiled at his son, but his expression was sad and thoughtful. I could tell right away that something sad had happened to this family.”
The man The man told Valentina about the tragedy that had befallen them.
The man’s wife was murdered by Russian soldiers. And after he was raped. …… Perhaps the man and his son witnessed a tragic reality. The man’s wife was the main caretaker of his disabled son. The man had to work while caring for his son, and he seemed at a loss.”
After hearing the man’s story, Valentina said she was reminded once again of the cruelty of war.
When war breaks out, it brings misfortune and sadness to many people. It’s not just about Kieu. But that does not mean that we can tolerate the brutality of the Russian army. If a woman is raped, the men in her family are left with emotional scars that will never go away. He will be haunted for the rest of his life by the remorse of not having been able to protect his beloved. The man has been plunged into the depths of misery.
We volunteers want to help them in any way we can. We will continue to provide them with food until the war is over and they can get their lives back on track.
The man who lost his wife smiled at Valentina and concluded, “We will continue to provide hot meals and relief supplies.
The man who lost his wife smiled at Valentina and concluded, “Thank you so much for all the hot meals and relief supplies you have brought to us. Thanks to you, my son and I are both doing well. Thank you.”
