Fans rejoice at Nanako Matsushima’s “mother figure in red cardigan”…!
Actress Nanako Matsushima’s appearance in the new commercial for Taisho Pharmaceutical’s “Pabron S Gold W” is creating a lot of buzz. “This is the first time I’ve seen her in a commercial for the brand.
The new commercial is called “‘Handmade Humidifier'” and has a 15-second and a 30-second version; the 30-second version begins with a narration by the daughter’s character saying, “The season of colds has come again this year. The 30-second version begins with the daughter narrating, “It’s cold season again. She has her hair pulled back and is dressed warmly in a white shirt and a dark green cardigan. “She is probably the most suitable actress in Japan for the term “too beautiful mother.
As Matsushima opens the window to look into the garden, a strong wind blows. “It’s getting colder,” she says, her body shivering. I have to protect my throat from the dryness. ……” Matsushima mumbled.
Then, the daughter said, “It’s ready! She showed off the “homemade humidifier” that she and Matsushima had made. The daughter, however, complained about her throat problems, holding her hand to her throat. The daughter is worried, but Matsushima smiles and says, “Don’t worry, I’ve got some Pabron ready.
The next morning, Matsushima greets the daughter with a cheerful “Good morning. She is wearing a red long-sleeved knit over a striped shirt. They high-five each other happily, “Yay,” and then she says this familiar phrase …….
“It worked, didn’t it, early Pabron?”
Matsushima’s Pabron commercial has become synonymous with the cold season, and I’m sure that many Japanese will recall scenes of autumn and winter with that familiar phrase.
Incidentally, Matsushima also appeared in an Uber Eats commercial the other day, which also drew a lot of attention. The commercial, in which Matsushima co-stars with celebrity Matt and is “Mattified” by Matt’s hands, received a great response. In another commercial for Secom, Shigeo Nagashima asked, “Do you use Secom? Matsushima took over the catchphrase of Shigeo Nagashima’s commercial.
As a nationally known actress with outstanding sensitivity, it seems that she is constantly being offered commercials. We can’t take our eyes off Matsushima any more!
