A report released on April 3 by the international human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) details war crimes committed by the Russian military. The testimony of a 31-year-old woman who had taken refuge with her family, including her 5-year-old daughter, at a school in Halkiv, Ukraine&#8217;s second largest city, is graphic.

It was around midnight on March 13 when Russian soldiers broke a window and entered the school. The soldier told her his name and that he was 20 years old, and instructed her to go to a classroom on the second floor. He pointed an assault rifle at her and said, &#8220;I&#8217;m 20 years old.

The soldier sexually assaults the woman while holding a pistol to her temple. There was no heating in the school, but only the top half of the body was allowed to be clothed.
