“Don’t Show the Marking!” Kanna Hashimoto Has a Blast with Her Dog in the Nasu Highlands! She Promotes the Brand She Runs Herself
“Don’t eat the grass!”
A woman holding her dog close to her chest and flashing her most radiant smile at the camera… It’s actress Kanna Hashimoto (27).
On September 17, Hashimoto appeared with her beloved dogs, Pino and Noa, at “PINOWASSAN Nasu Main Store,” a newly opened dog park facility located within the “Good News Neighbors” complex in Nasu Highlands, Tochigi Prefecture. She captivated the large crowd of fans who had gathered for the event.
“The brand promotes a new lifestyle for dogs and their owners, selling not only dog apparel but also clothing for humans. Hashimoto has been involved since the brand’s inception, and the brand name is derived from the names of her dogs, Pino and Noa, as well as Sango, the dog owned by her manager.
Two hundred people, selected by lottery, attended the event that day.“As dog lovers and her fans gathered outside the dog run’s fence to watch, Ms. Hashimoto wore a brand-logo sweatshirt paired with a white long skirt, while the dogs wore clothing designed by the brand. They ran around the dog run together and showed off their dogs’ tricks,” said a local newspaper reporter.
Hashimoto was in high spirits throughout the event,
“Don’t eat the grass!” “Please! Don’t mark your territory!”
and other such shouts to her dogs, filling the venue with laughter.
Afterward, Hashimoto moved to the pop-up shop venue in Shinjuku Ward. At the press conference, she explained the background behind the brand’s launch. Hashimoto reportedly owns around 100 outfits for her two dogs, but
“While being able to coordinate our outfits is one thing, I really wanted to create clothing that’s comfortable whether worn by humans or dogs,”
She explained that she had been planning to launch the brand for four or five years, adding,
“Just a moment ago, (my dog) was dashing around the dog park while wearing Pino (Wassan)’s outfit, so I think you can see for yourselves that the comfort is outstanding,”
she said with a smile. It was a very busy day—spending the morning running around with her dog in the Nasu Highlands and appearing at the brand’s launch event in Shinjuku in the afternoon—but since she was with her dog the whole time, she never stopped smiling.
