 Ryuta Watanabe (38), an influencer who calls himself “the polygamous kept man,” has been sharing his “extended family life” with three wives and four children.
 With over 50,000 YouTube subscribers, he has garnered attention by continuing to candidly share his extreme lifestyle of polygamy.

 At the end of last year, he posted a video titled “The Entire Story of the Collapse of My Polygamous Marriage.” Afterward, two of his wives and four of his children left home, and he now lives with Ayaka, the only one who remained.On August 8, he officially registered his marriage with Ayaka. Watanabe, who once maintained a large household of eight and championed “polygamy,” has ironically become legally “monogamous.”
 His YouTube channel, where he used to share the daily life of his large family, is currently inactive. What exactly is happening to Watanabe, who gained attention by promoting polygamy?
<h2> “Polygamy is over.”</h2>
 When asked about his current situation, despite having just registered their marriage, he began speaking slowly and haltingly with a gloomy expression: “Right now, I’m in a manic-depressive state…”
 “The sense of loss from my family getting smaller is overwhelming, and I can’t bring myself to do anything. I just don’t feel like doing anything at all. And I’m not in a polygamous relationship anymore, either.”

Just as I was hesitating over whether to call off the interview, he suddenly changed his tone and said , “The only thing that’s going well is my relationships with women.”
 “Even though I’m in this state right now, I actually have seven new girlfriends. If you count my legal wife, Ayaka, that makes eight in total.”
 Even though he’d said he couldn’t focus on work, how could he possibly manage seven girlfriends…? As I stood there dumbfounded, the kept man began to speak at length.
 “My first girlfriend is the one closest to being my ‘main wife’ right now. She’s a preschool teacher, and we’ve been dating for a year and a half. We’re trying to get pregnant, and I think we’ll move in together once we have a child. The second one is a 32-year-old woman who works at an ice cream shop; I met her on Tinder a little while ago. Even though there’s absolutely no way she’d find out… My fourth girlfriend is the oldest at 50. She’s technically my girlfriend, but it feels more like a casual hookup. She’s an incredibly beautiful, ageless woman and super sexy.
 She’s a single mother who runs several beauty-related companies, and her family is incredibly wealthy. She lives in an office building, not an apartment. ‘I’ve got to give you some spending money,’ she says—and she naturally gives me 30,000 yen.
