A double affair scandal involving actor Ryoki Miyama (27), formerly of BE, and Maria Kano (33), a former top musumeyaku performer of the Takarazuka Revue, emerged following their co-starring roles in the musical “Crash Landing on You.” The news generated a major reaction, but as reporting continued, a new allegation emerged:

Kano reportedly became so distressed that she was diagnosed with an adjustment disorder on July 20. However, according to the report, Miyama’s behavior allegedly escalated further even after the affair allegations became public.

“Mr. Miyama would send dozens of messages a day through LINE and Instagram DMs saying, ‘I want to see you.’ On some days, there were reportedly more than 100 messages. What he was doing was practically stalking,” the stage insider said.

When “FRIDAY” interviewed Kano in mid-August, she did not deny receiving more than 100 messages in a single day and replied:

“Yes, that’s right.”

When asked how she felt about Miyama, she firmly stated:

“I don’t have romantic feelings for him.”

Although she appeared to choose her words carefully, her response seemed to suggest the emotional pressure she had been under.

Regarding the controversy, Kano’s agency stated:

“It is true that there was communication between them.”

While declining to provide further details, the agency did not deny the allegations of stalking-like behavior.

Meanwhile, Miyama’s attorney categorically denied the allegations, saying:

“All of it is completely false.”

The two sides’ accounts are in complete conflict.
