“I Don’t Have Romantic Feelings for Him”: “Stalking Allegations” Against Ryoki Miyama—Maria Hanano’s Shocking Confession

It wasn’t just that they were attracted to each other
A “mutual affair” scandal involving former BE:FIRST member and actor Ryoki Miyama (27) and former Takarazuka Revue top female lead Maria Hanano (33) surfaced following their collaboration in the musical *Crash Landing on You*. While this news sparked a huge reaction, as our investigation progressed
“It may not have been just an affair; there may have been stalking-like behavior on Miyama’s part,”
have come to light.
It all began in July when *Shukan Bunshun* reported on the alleged affair between the two. Miyama had overcome past financial troubles and married actress Shuri last year; the couple had just welcomed their first child. Meanwhile, Hanano had announced that she married a non-celebrity man in 2021 and gave birth to a son in 2024.
Initially, the public cast a critical eye on them as an “adulterous couple,” but a theater industry insider told FRIDAY regarding their relationship:
“It wasn’t simply a matter of them being attracted to each other,”
.
It all began during the stage rehearsals in June. Hanano, concerned about Miyama’s acting skills, suggested private practice sessions as his senior colleague, at which point
“It seems Ms. Miyama ‘misinterpreted’ this. She gradually began asking for ‘secret meetings’ at hotels and other places. Furthermore, once the play opened in July, her demands escalated,” (the same theater insider)
they said.
Over 100 LINE messages and DMs a day
Feeling cornered, Hanano was diagnosed with “adjustment disorder” on July 20. However, even after reports of the affair surfaced, Miyama’s behavior continued to escalate.
“Mr. Miyama would contact her dozens of times a day via LINE and Instagram DMs saying, ‘I want to see you.’ On some days, the number reportedly exceeded 100. What he’s doing is practically stalking,” said the same theater insider.
In mid-August, when this magazine interviewed Hanano, she did not deny receiving over 100 messages a day
“That’s right,”
When asked about her feelings toward Miyama, she replied,
“……(I have) no romantic feelings,”
she stated firmly. Although she chose her words carefully, her response made it clear she was feeling cornered.
Regarding this controversy, Hanano’s agency stated,
“It is true that there was communication,”
, though they avoided providing specifics; however, they did not deny the stalking allegations.
On the other hand, the attorney representing Miyama
“All of this is completely groundless,”
and denied the allegations outright. The two sides’ claims are completely at odds with each other.
