Taking a walk with his beloved dog
n July, “FRIDAY” reported on actor Shuhei Nomura (32) and model Yumi Ishida (26) enjoying a walk-and-date with Nomura’s beloved dog, Snoop, at a café terrace in a stylish residential neighborhood in Tokyo.
After leaving the café, the two went to a supermarket, leaving Snoop waiting outside. When Ishida came out of the store first, Snoop enthusiastically wagged his tail, bursting with happiness. The two then held hands and disappeared into the residential neighborhood.
The two have an unexpected connection. An entertainment industry insider explains:
“Ishida made her debut in the entertainment industry through the same agency that represents Nomura. They had been in a senior-junior relationship for a long time, but Ishida moved to another agency two years ago so that she could focus on modeling. Judging from how comfortable his dog is around her, you can tell how long the two have been together. Following this report, Nomura apparently openly declared to his friends, ‘I’m dating Ishida.’”
A fulfilling personal life is also having a positive effect on their careers.
“Nomura gave an impressive performance in the drama ‘The Gas Man’ (Netflix), playing a heavily tattooed yakuza who opposes the Gas Man. A Hollywood-Japanese co-produced film in which he appears is also scheduled for release later this year, further establishing his presence as a talented actor.
Ishida is active as an advertising model for companies such as UNIQLO and Shiseido. Recently, she has also been appearing more frequently in women’s magazines, and the other day she traveled to Palau for an on-location shoot for the main feature of a magazine, showing how energetically she continues to work” (same source).
