A Walk Date with Their Beloved Dog
In July, FRIDAY reported that actor Shuhei Nomura (32) and model Yumi Ishida (26) were on a date taking a walk with Nomura’s dog, Snoop, on the terrace of a café in an elegant residential neighborhood in Tokyo.
After leaving the café, the pair left Snoop waiting outside while they went to a supermarket. When Ishida emerged from the store first, Snoop wagged his tail wildly, bursting with joy. Afterward, the two held hands and disappeared into the residential neighborhood.
The two share an unexpected commonality. An entertainment agency insider explains:
“Ishida actually made her entertainment debut at the same agency as Nomura. They had a senior-junior relationship for quite some time, but Ishida transferred to another agency two years ago to focus on modeling. You can tell how long they’ve been dating just by how attached the dog is to her.In response to these reports, it seems Nomura has openly declared to his close friends, ‘I’m dating Ishida.’”
His fulfilling personal life is having a positive impact on his work as well.
“Nomura gave a standout performance as a fully tattooed yakuza who opposes the ‘Gas Humans’ in the Netflix drama *Gas Humans*. With the release of a Hollywood-Japan co-production film in which he stars scheduled for later this year, he is solidifying his presence as a talented actor.
Ishida is active as a model for brands such as Uniqlo and Shiseido. She has been appearing more frequently in women’s magazines lately and is working energetically—just the other day, she traveled to Palau for a photo shoot for a magazine’s main feature.” (Ibid.)
