A ban was issued after the report

In June, as excitement over the North and Central America World Cup was building, “FRIDAY” witnessed TV Asahi announcer Tsumugi Mitani (32), known as one of the biggest soccer fans among female announcers, enjoying a date at an izakaya.

Mitani spent about four hours at a sake izakaya with her handsome office-worker boyfriend, A. On another day, she was also spotted enjoying a drinking session at an Italian restaurant that lasted more than eight hours.

“They have reportedly been dating for more than five and a half years already. They have introduced each other to their respective parents, and apparently they are living together part-time” (TV Asahi employee).

Mitani was even said to have talked about her boyfriend and proudly shared stories about him between recordings. However, after “FRIDAY’s” report, a “ban” was reportedly imposed on her.

“Apparently, she was reprimanded by upper management for ‘being too careless about her private life,’ and she was quite depressed about it. It’s true that she openly talked about things like, ‘I went to this yakitori restaurant with my boyfriend.’ But if you look at it another way, it probably shows just how much she likes A” (same source).
