[Scoop] Ryoki Miyama Allegedly Told Maria Kano He Would Divorce Shuri Before Pressuring Her Into Secret Meetings

She had been diagnosed with adjustment disorder

“Actually, Maria Kano was being forced by Miyama to meet him in secret. Soon after rehearsals began in June, Maria Kano became concerned about Miyama’s acting ability and suggested that they practice individually. This seems to have made Miyama get the wrong idea. The person making this difficult-to-believe claim is someone involved in the stage production of the musical “Crash Landing on You.” “Maria Kano” is Maria Kano (33), a former Takarazuka Revue actress who now works primarily on stage. “Miyama” refers to Ryoiki Miyama (27), a former member of BE who weathered a scandal in which he allegedly had his former fiancée spend ¥100 million on him before marrying Shuri (35).

After promising his father-in-law Yutaka Mizutani (74) and mother-in-law Ran Ito (71) that “I won’t cause any more problems” and declaring that he wanted them to see the new me, Miyama appeared in the production with his co-star Maria Kano. “Bunshun Online” subsequently reported on an alleged affair between Miyama and Maria Kano, who was also married. The public was thrown into an uproar over the pair’s apparent involvement in an affair, but this person involved in the production says, “What was reported differs from what I actually witnessed.”

“After the stage production began on July 12, Miyama reportedly started telling Maria Kano, ‘If you won’t meet me, I’ll quit the show.’ He also allegedly threatened her, saying, ‘If I quit, the performances won’t be able to go ahead. If that happens, there will be cancellation fees, and you’ll also be sued for damages.’ Maria Kano became mentally unwell due to Miyama’s repeated demands and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder on July 20” (same source).

Even after the affair allegations were reported on July 22, Miyama’s rampage did not stop. According to this person involved in the production, he pressured Maria Kano to continue the relationship as follows:

“I’m going to divorce Shuri. And yet I haven’t heard anything about you divorcing your husband. What are you planning to do? Answer me right here, right now.”
