Returning to the Field with a New Catcher

It was a late afternoon in late March, as the professional baseball season kicked off. Seiji Kobayashi (37) of the Yomiuri Giants was spotted at Hakone Shrine (Kanagawa Prefecture), known as one of the Kanto region’s premier power spots.By his side was a slender beauty with brown hair—resembling Akemi Darenogare—and a dog with a distinctive fluffy coat; it was a picture-perfect scene of happiness.

“The two met through a mutual acquaintance and have been dating for about nine months. She is an office worker in her 20s, and they are reportedly living together with marriage in mind.”

“The other day, even though his dog was at home, Kobayashi left for a trip to Osaka while leaving the air conditioner set to 30°C, which made his girlfriend absolutely furious. They unfollowed each other on social media, and rumors of a breakup were swirling, but they’re actually getting along just fine,” said a male acquaintance of Kobayashi.

Kobayashi is still playing for the first team. We look forward to seeing him make even greater strides as he works hand in hand with his new girlfriend.
