Ano-chan Shows Off Her Playful Side in a Blue Yukata While on the Move Under High Security at the “Sumida River Fireworks Festival”

“I’ve been working hard lately just for this.”
At dusk on a midsummer evening, a large crowd of young people is walking in the same direction. Their faces are beaming with excitement, and the atmosphere is one of eager anticipation for the major event about to begin. Amidst them, however, a few middle-aged men stand out—for some reason, their expressions are stiff, and they’re casting wary glances around them. The reason was clear. At the center of the group stood a single woman in a yukata… singer and TV personality Ano-chan (age undisclosed).
On July 25, the annual Sumida River Fireworks Festival was held in Taito Ward, Tokyo, and Ano-chan appeared as a guest on “Exclusive Live Broadcast: Sumida River Fireworks Festival 2026” (TV Tokyo network).
“This year, actor Hideki Takahashi (82) and announcer Minami Nakahara (26) served as the main hosts, and a lineup of distinctive guests appeared, including Hiroyuki Ariyoshi (52), Tamiyo Kusakari (61), and actor Kaota Hosoda (24).It was Ano-chan’s first appearance on the show. At the beginning of the program, when Takahashi asked her, ‘Have you ever watched the Sumida River Fireworks before?’, she smiled and replied, ‘I’ve been looking forward to this so much. It’s a reward for myself,’ adding with a cheerful voice, ‘I’ve been working hard lately just for this moment.’” (TV magazine writer)
The opening scene showed Ano-chan moving from the waiting area to the special studio. She wore a light blue obi with a blue floral-patterned yukata, and her hair accessories were also all blue. For some reason, her sandals were bright red—perhaps a fashion choice she was particularly fond of. Overall, she gave off a very cool and refreshing vibe. She made her way to the venue mingling with the general public, and according to onlookers who were there,
“Hardly anyone walking nearby noticed Ano-chan. Although the street had been closed to traffic that day, Ano-chan’s entourage walked inside the guardrails, maintaining a certain distance from other pedestrians. There was even a security guard leading the way, so it felt like security was quite tight.”
The staff reportedly maintained a tense atmosphere throughout. However, Ano-chan alone remained completely at her own pace. As they neared the venue, she walked while tapping her hips lightly with both hands, a smile spreading across her face.
The fireworks display ended safely around 8:30 p.m. Just as it did, a sudden, heavy downpour began. As Ano-chan left the venue with the staff, she walked with an umbrella in hand, looking at her smartphone with a satisfied expression.
The next day, Ano-chan posted an update on her social media.
“Thank you to everyone who watched the live stream with me,”
she wrote. In her yukata, Ano-chan struck a pose, and her red-strapped geta looked absolutely adorable.
