Sexy bunny girls grill delicious meat and feed it to you—there’s a new type of entertainment yakiniku restaurant that makes this dream, likely shared by many men, come true. To get to the bottom of it, a FRIDAY reporter headed to “Yakiniku to Bunny Girl Gotanda Branch” (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo).

Upon entering the restaurant, the sight of bunny girls moving about the floor immediately caught my eye. As I took my seat, a cast member named Maika sat down next to me with a smile. After I ordered a beer (798 yen) and salt-seasoned beef tongue (1,520 yen), she brushed beef fat onto the grill and arranged the meat with deft, precise movements.

“I used to be the manager of a yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo. Each grill has its own ‘personality,’ and you need to figure that out quickly. While chatting, I grill the meat with my right hand and fine-tune the heat with my left.”

Indeed, the doneness of the meat Maika served me was absolutely perfect.

“Our restaurant also offers a wide selection of carefully selected Kuroge Wagyu beef. We get great reviews saying, ‘The bunny girls are cute, of course, but the yakiniku is genuinely delicious,’” says the Kanto Area Manager.

We ate three servings of meat, rice, and namul, treated the bunny girls to drinks, and fully enjoyed services like taking Instax photos—yet the bill came to just 15,000 yen per person.
