<h2>Enjoying Taiwan</h2>
— This time, you visited Taiwan for a 3-day, 2-night trip. What kind of locations did you shoot at?
Erika: “We mainly filmed at Japanese-style hotels, luxury hotels, a pool, and a charming traditional tea house.”
— Please tell us your favorite shots.
Marina: “The killer shot was the one where I wore a dress and was photographed at the hotel! I really love this elegant and cute lingerie-style dress. The result is sexy but also has a refreshing feeling.”
Erika: “Mine is the pool shot where I wore a tube-top swimsuit. I think the highlight is our natural smiles while we were playfully interacting with each other. Another favorite is the scene at the tea house where I wore a Chinese-style outfit over my swimsuit. I wore it open in the front, so it looks very sexy, and I really like it.”
Marina: “Whenever we get into a pool, we end up splashing water at the photographer and fooling around no matter what, right? (laughs)”
— Were there any memorable moments during the shoot?
Erika: “There was a sauna by the pool, and it was fun chatting with Mari while warming up together.”
Marina: “I love saunas!”
Erika: “I left halfway through, but Mari stayed in there for about an hour straight. When she finally came back, there was an incredible amount of steam coming off her shoulders (laughs).”
Marina: “Even while Erika was taking her solo shots, I waited in the sauna for about 10 minutes (laughs).”
— Were you able to enjoy your time off as well?
Erika: “We had some free time between shoots, so the two of us went for a Taiwanese massage. Also, on the last day, it was amazing that I finally got to drink the Taiwanese beer I had been wanting during lunch!”
Marina: “Also, Erika tried so many samples at the tea shop and bought an unbelievable amount of souvenirs, didn’t she? (laughs)”
Erika: “I had so much fun making tea with Taiwanese-style tea utensils that after returning to Japan, I bought a complete set!”
— In March, you also released your long-awaited first photo book, and things are really going well for you.
Marina: “Thankfully, we’ve been receiving a lot of attention, so going forward we want to expand our range of activities and take on new forms of work beyond gravure.”
Erika: “We’re full of a hungry spirit, so we’re not satisfied with our current situation at all! Our current goal is to completely take over all the gravure pages in magazines with ‘Erimari’!”
— You returned to gravure two years ago after a six-year break. How was the response from fans?
Marina: “Everyone has been incredibly warm and supportive. My SNS followers increased by about 50,000, and I’m truly happy about that.”
Erika: “Mine increased by about 70,000 as well. There are also many more fans who send us supportive comments directly.”

<h2>Their close relationship remains unchanged</h2>
— After reaching the major milestone of releasing your photo book, do you feel that you have evolved in any way?
Marina: “I’m still able to enjoy every shoot while feeling a sense of freshness and excitement.”
Erika: “In a good way, I want to stay the same and not become arrogant. I was truly happy to be able to release the photo book. But I still have so many goals I want to achieve, so I want to continue creating gravure work that surpasses that photo book in the future.”
— Have there been any changes in terms of body maintenance and shaping?
Erika: “Before the photo book shoot, I was extremely strict with myself, so now that it’s over, I’ve been eating lots of delicious food (laughs). When I looked at the photos from this shoot, I thought, ‘Oh, I look a little softer than before,’ so I’m going to tighten things up again!”
Marina: “I wanted to keep a feminine roundness, so I focused mainly on strength training at home for my body shaping. But Erika was going to the gym constantly and was seriously getting all muscular, right? (laughs)”
Erika: “I calculated my PFC (protein, fat, and carbohydrate) balance, and there were even times when I cried because I was restricting myself from eating my favorite melon bread too much. But the next morning, I only ate half of one and did intense walking. I don’t want to live that way again for a while (laughs).”
— So this time, fans can expect to see your bodies looking more natural, softer, and with more curves.
Erika &amp; Marina: “Yes, we’re super pudding-like! (laughs)”
— With your work becoming busier, has anything changed in your relationship outside of work?
Erika: “Since we see each other frequently for work, we don’t specifically get together privately as often as before. But I don’t feel lonely at all.”
Marina: “We’re genuinely very close, so we message each other on LINE all the time every day. Recently, I treated Erika to her favorite sushi for her birthday!”
Erika: “She really treated me to a full meal (laughs).”
— Finally, could you tell us about your future goals?
Erika: “I want to value communication with our fans, so I’d like to try game streaming, which many people have requested.”
Marina: “Not only gravure, but I’d also like to challenge myself with fashion modeling and beauty-related work. I’d be happy if more women could get to know us as well.”
Erika: “What!? That’s unfair, I want to do that too! (laughs)”

Erika: “A little while ago, I visited a sake brewery in Nagano Prefecture on my day off. I love food experiences, so recently I bought a block of sea bream at Tsukiji, made kombu-jime (kelp-cured fish), and even tried making sushi myself.”
Marina: “At night, I like to relax while burning incense, watch the drama &#8216;Gossip Girl&#8217; on Netflix and get caught up in the suspense, and write about my daily life in a journal that I’ve been keeping for about three years. That has become one of my favorite ways to spend my time recently.”
