 This was the cry uttered by the victim as he was about to be killed in a case that first came to prominence in Japan as a suicide site murder.
 In the Internet world, there are several sites where people who wish to commit suicide gather. There are posts asking for an easy way to die, posts asking people to take their lives with them, and posts describing the process of an attempted suicide. &#8230;&#8230;
 The murderer accesses these sites, poses as a suicidal person, lures him or her by saying, &#8220;Let&#8217;s die together,&#8221; and then takes his or her life in a way that the person does not want.

 This type of incident is known as &#8220;suicide site murder,&#8221; and has occurred in large numbers both in Japan and abroad. The Zama 9 murders have made headlines in Japan in recent years.
 The first case that made headlines in Japan was the &#8220;Osaka Suicide Site Murder Case,&#8221; which occurred 12 years ago. The murderer was Hiroshi Maegami, then 36 (age 18). The victims were. 25 A woman, aged 14 A 6-year-old male junior high school student, a 21 Three male college students, aged 6 years old.
 Maegami was a person who was abnormally sexually aroused by suffocating and tormenting people and by white school socks. He had committed countless crimes since elementary school, eventually taking the lives of three people in rapid succession.
 After his arrest, he confessed to a crime that had not yet been uncovered, and there was a major reason behind his willingness to accept the death penalty. In exchange for his life, he wanted to raise a question to the Japanese people and the Japanese nation.
 We have now obtained detailed data on Maejo after his arrest. With the help of these documents, we would like to present a fuller picture of the case and the problems Maegami left behind.
<h2>Poor Family Environment</h2>

 1968 Hiroshi Maegami was born in Osaka in 1949. His father was a police officer, his mother a housewife, and he had one younger sister.
 Maegami was born with a developmental disability, but his IQ was 128 The number was very high. He had an excellent memory, a trait that enabled him to memorize in detail when and where he did things in his life. He had &#8220;savant syndrome,&#8221; a condition in which a person with a disability has a prodigious ability to excel in something.

 I have met people with this trait in prisons and juvenile detention centers, and I guess it means that depending on the environment in which they were born and raised, it can be a talent to accomplish great things, or it can be a difficulty to live.
 In this respect, Maekami&#8217;s family environment was poor. His father was an excellent police officer, but he drank until he was drunk every day. He also had a bad drinking habit, and would sometimes assault his family members in a drunken rage.
 Raising his children was left entirely up to his mother, but at the time, understanding of developmental disabilities was not yet advanced. Therefore, every time Maegami said or did something different from other children, his mother would physically punish him by lifting his eyes and hitting him with a futon slap. When he tried to escape, she lit incense sticks and pressed them against his buttocks. Maegami remembers every bit of this abuse. His childhood must have been like a nightmare for him.
 School was also not a place where he felt safe. He probably floated in the classroom because of this characteristic. He did not get along well not only with his friends but also with his teachers, and his homeroom teacher in the fifth grade declared, &#8220;You are not a good student.
 I&#8217;m going to ignore you.
 During class and during recess, his homeroom teacher treated him as if he did not exist. Maegami did not appear in any of the photos from the school trip for which his homeroom teacher was the photographer. His classmates followed the homeroom teacher&#8217;s example and picked on Maegami. The bullying continued until graduation.
 It was around this time that Maegami began to exhibit abnormal behavior. In a mystery novel he happened to read, there was a scene in which the murderer used a handkerchief soaked with anesthetic to cover the victim&#8217;s mouth and nose, causing him to faint. Maegami remembers the scene clearly and becomes obsessed with it.
 Then, in the fifth grade, when the bullying intensified, he ran up behind an elementary school girl he met on the street and covered her mouth with his handkerchief, just as in the novel. The sight of the suffering girl gave him goosebumps. From then on, Maegami found that this act brought him great sexual satisfaction.
 Maegami repeated the same act in junior high and high school. During that time, he committed more than 40 crimes. The Maejo testified at trial.
 I never really thought about it as a bad thing. In the second year of junior high school, in talking with a classmate, I realized that the sexual excitement I felt was different from others. So I thought about stopping for a while, but after about three months I couldn&#8217;t take it anymore and did it again.&#8221;
<h2>Unexpected things that started to excite me from the second year of junior high school</h2>

 From the eighth grade, in addition to choking, he became aroused by white school socks. He would target and attack anyone wearing them, then masturbate later, remembering that he had suffocated them.
 This behavior was most frequent during his junior high school years, when he was subjected to severe, violent bullying. Was there a causal relationship between the bullying and the crimes?
 Maegami stated the following at his trial.
 He was bullied a lot at school and had a lot of hard times, so when he came home, he would immediately start committing crimes like that. Sometimes I was committing two crimes.&#8221;
 How Maegami came to be sexually aroused by these activities is a matter of many things, including his characteristics and upbringing, as well as chance encounters.
 Whether or not he actually acted on them, however, is another story. The fact that Maekami began committing crimes as early as the fifth grade is probably not unrelated to the stress of abuse at home and bullying at school.
 One of the few people who understood him was his grandmother. Whenever he was abused at home, he would escape to his grandmother&#8217;s house, which lived a short distance away.

 He committed many crimes up until high school, but they rarely turned into anything serious. It was during his college years that this behavior first affected his life.
 One day, he lusted after a classmate wearing white school socks, attacked her from behind, covered her mouth, and choked her. Although no criminal case was filed, this got him into trouble and he was forced to drop out of college.
 After that, Maegami worked at various jobs, including a building materials factory and as a truck driver. In the intervening seven years or so, he was at peace and did not commit any crimes. However. 25 When he began working at the post office in the year he turned 20, he was bullied by his co-workers. This caused him to once again be driven by warped sexual urges.
 One day, Maegami took a co-worker into custody, handcuffed him behind his back, and sprayed him with a stun gun. The police were called and Maegami was arrested. He was fired from his job and given a suspended sentence at trial.
 Maegami says the following.
 I remember everything else in my life, but for some reason I have almost no memory of this incident. I don&#8217;t even remember when I was arrested. I decided to go to a psychiatrist after this incident. The doctor knew about the incident and prescribed medication, which he called medication therapy.&#8221;

<h2>Outstanding memory that became ada</h2>

 For Maekami, who has a prodigious memory, it would have been impossible for his memory to slip away. The shock of his arrest combined with his attempts to cure his distorted proclivities through medicine.
 Maegami went to the hospital once a week. However, each time he waited for three hours and was prescribed medicine after a three-minute interview, so the treatment may not have been very thorough.
 In this situation, Maegami received a letter from the victim of the incident at the post office. 1500 The company received a claim for damages in the amount of about ¥10,000,000. He felt he had to pay the claim, but he had very little in savings. Therefore, he thought he could raise the insurance money by committing suicide.
 He obtained a best-selling suicide manual book. He read it carefully, and then he took a sobriety pill. 120 He took the pills with alcohol. However, he was constitutionally incapable of accepting alcohol, so he vomited halfway through the drink, and the attempt was unsuccessful.
 This remarkably disciplined and inflexible character seems to indicate the difficulties he had in his daily life.
 After that, Maegami begins an unstable life, working as a rear car driver for a land transportation company, being hospitalized in a mental hospital, and working for a ready-mixed concrete company.
 For a while, his sexual urges lurk in the shadows, but five years after his arrest, the demons in his mind start to move again. He had a fit with a junior high school boy and pushed him from behind, blocking his nose and mouth. When he returned home that day, he remembered it and masturbated.
 This crime made him unstoppable again, and he repeated the crime. One after another, he attacked people and suffocated them by covering their mouths with his hand or a handkerchief, and then masturbated with them when he got home. Incidentally, the targets of his crimes could be either men or women. For him, it was important to &#8220;make them suffer.
 The following year, Maegami was finally arrested and charged with two crimes, for which he received a one-year prison sentence, suspended for three years.
 After returning to society, Maegami deeply regretted his actions and decided to do something to curb his sexual urges. At this time, he came up with the idea of writing a novel about his desires. In Maejo&#8217;s own words.
 When I was a high school student, I once compiled my inner fantasies and fantasies into a notebook in the form of a novel. At that time, I felt calm and didn&#8217;t commit the crime, so I thought that if I could satisfy my sexual desires one more time in the same way, in the form of a novel, I wouldn&#8217;t actually attack people.&#8221;
 So he began to write naked novels about his sexuality and post them on the Internet.
 But it was not like high school. Once again, he started attacking people he met on the street. He was arrested by the police for putting on rubber gloves and covering the nose and mouth of a junior high school boy. Since he was on probation, he was sentenced to a year and a half in prison and imprisoned in Kakogawa Prison.
 There was no counseling or any sort of correctional program in the prison,&#8221; he said. I wrote a letter to the psychiatrist, and the doctor replied, well, let&#8217;s work together when you get out. That&#8217;s when I knew I had no choice but to get better.&#8221;
 There was always a conflict within Maejo: &#8220;I want to cure my sexuality, but I can&#8217;t stand it. Neither the prison nor the hospital could show him how to suppress that conflict.
 Then, after leaving Kakogawa Prison, he encountered a suicide site, which triggered the &#8220;Osaka Suicide Site Serial Murder Case&#8221; that shook Japan.
