Their relationship began through a TV appearance

The announcement that Lily (42) of the comedy duo Mitorizu had gotten married, made during the late-night TBS Radio program Stand By Mitorizu on May 27, has become a hot topic.

Lily, often described as one of the entertainment industry’s biggest heartthrobs, chose as his partner Nao Imagawa (29), a former announcer for Okayama Broadcasting (OHK) who is now a freelance announcer represented by the major talent agency Cent. Force.

“The two first met around 2019. Mitorizu appeared as guests on the local variety program Kin Baku!, where Imagawa served as the main MC. Even back then, viewers often commented that they made a great match, thanks to Lily’s perfectly timed jokes and Imagawa’s cheerful comebacks,” said a sports newspaper reporter.

The turning point came in March 2025, when Imagawa left the station and moved to Tokyo. The couple quietly began living together there.

“I want to get married someday”

“Around that time, there were rumors circulating within comedy industry circles that Lily had already decided to get married and had asked Announcer Imagawa to move to Tokyo because of that decision. It was amid those rumors that the two were photographed together,” said a source from a talent agency.

It was “FRIDAY” that reported on the couple’s affectionate new cohabiting life in August 2025.

When confronted unexpectedly by reporters, many celebrities tend to dodge questions or give vague answers. Lily, however, reacted differently. Rather than trying to escape the situation, he openly acknowledged both their relationship and the fact that they were living together.

“I’d like to get married someday.”

He made the declaration with confidence and conviction.

“During his radio show, Lily revealed that the weekly magazine report became the catalyst that pushed him toward marriage, saying, ‘It’s a man’s responsibility. In my mind, that was my proposal.’ However, considering that he openly discussed the possibility of marriage when reporters asked him about it during the surprise interview, he may have already made up his mind by then,” said the sports newspaper reporter quoted earlier.

Although Lily is known for his strong sense of responsibility and straightforward character, this magazine witnessed an unexpected side of him when he was alone with Announcer Imagawa.

Like a scene straight out of a trendy romantic drama, Lily playfully chased after Imagawa across a crosswalk while wearing a mischievous grin as she ran ahead of him. Perhaps the reason he was able to show a side of himself rarely seen on television was because he felt completely at ease with someone he trusted as much as Imagawa.

We can only watch warmly as the couple builds a happy life together.
