“I got married.”

“Um also, I got married.”

Late on the night of May 27, Lily (41) of the comedy duo “Mitorizu” announced his marriage on the TBS Radio program “Stand By Mitorizu.”

During the latter half of the one-hour show, Lily and his comedy partner, Shintaro Moriyama (40), were discussing stories related to an American hip-hop group that Lily had long admired. In the middle of the conversation, Lily casually dropped the bombshell:

“I registered my marriage.”

“Hey, wait a second. Hold on, old man, old man!”

Moriyama appeared genuinely shaken, but Lily ignored him and continued talking about hip-hop. Moriyama interrupted:

“What did you just say? Get closer to the microphone and say it properly, like, ‘I’m Kirin.'”

The studio erupted in laughter.

“There were a lot of twists and turns, but yes, I officially registered my marriage.”

Lily then formally announced the news again. When Moriyama asked,

“Was it with the person from that FRIDAY incident?”

Lily replied,

“Yeah, that’s right.”

Only then did the staff and those present break into applause and offer their congratulations.

Lily’s marriage partner was freelance announcer Nao Imagawa (29), whose hand-holding dates and semi-cohabiting relationship with him had been exclusively reported by “FRIDAY” in its September 12–19, 2025 combined issue.

Let’s revisit what happened at the time.

One weekend in mid-August 2025, despite the sweltering tropical night heat, a famous Korean restaurant in Tokyo’s Minato Ward was bustling with customers.

Walking into the popular establishment was a couple. The man had disguised himself with a hat and mask, but his trademark blond hair and handsome eyes made him instantly recognizable. It was Lily, the funnier half of the comedy duo “Mitorizu.”

“After reaching the finals of the ‘M-1 Grand Prix’ three times, ‘Mitorizu’ moved to Tokyo in 2022 and quickly broke through. Today, they host two programs of their own and appear regularly on five others, making them one of the hottest acts in the industry.

Lily, in particular, is exceptionally popular with women because of his good looks.

In their famous comedy sketch ‘South Osaka Trash Couple,’ Lily actually plays the girlfriend. Because his features are so refined, he genuinely looks like a woman. Even recently, Moriyama praised him on a variety show, saying, ‘He’s popular just by breathing. Among comedians, he’s the most popular with women,'” said a senior executive at a major talent agency.

On this day, Lily was accompanied by a petite beauty.

Given his reputation as a heartthrob who seemed to embody the saying playing the field enriches a comedian’s craft, one might have assumed this was just another casual date.

However, Lily’s demeanor that evening suggested that something was different.

His partner was a beauty who had been a Miss Contest runner-up

As soon as they stepped out of the restaurant, Lily firmly took the hand that the beautiful woman had extended toward him. Even while waiting at traffic lights, Lily quietly listened as she chatted away nonstop. Then, in the very next moment, the woman suddenly dashed off. Holding up his slipping pants with one hand, Lily desperately chased after her. Catching up, he grabbed her arm as if to say, “I’m not letting you get away this time,” and the two happily entered a high-rise apartment building together.

Throughout the evening, Lily seemed to be at the mercy of his companion. Even so, the smiles never left his face, and their easygoing dynamic resembled that of a seasoned comedy duo completely at ease with one another.

The woman who had captured Lily’s heart was freelance announcer Nao Imagawa.

“She is a stunning beauty who was once named runner-up in a beauty pageant while attending Doshisha University. She is currently represented by Cent. Force and appears on programs such as the news show ‘TBS NEWS’ and the sports program ‘S☆1′ (TBS),” said an acquaintance of Lily.

The two reportedly met in 2023. At the time, Imagawa was working for Okayama Broadcasting. Since Lily is originally from Okayama Prefecture, the two ended up filming a location shoot together in Okayama.

“Lily apparently took the initiative, saying, ‘She’s exactly my type!’ and that led to their relationship. Since Imagawa moved to Tokyo in March 2025, they have been living together. Lily is serious about her—he even told his comedy partner Moriyama about the relationship,” the acquaintance added.

In late August 2025, there were also occasions when the couple would leave their love nest together to enjoy dates at yakitori restaurants. On the walk home, they would naturally reach for each other’s hands. They also seemed to share a spare key, and Imagawa was occasionally seen returning home alone while Lily was away.

While they played a trashy couple in their comedy sketches, in real life they had become a truly lovey-dovey couple.

When approached at the end of one of their dates, Lily immediately said, “I’ll answer your questions,” and responded politely to the interview.

— Are the two of you currently in a relationship?

“Yes, we are.”

— What attracted you to her?

“Well, her looks, for one. And she’s just a genuinely nice person!”

— We’ve heard that you’re living together. Are there any plans for marriage?

“Nothing concrete at the moment. But I’d like to marry her someday.”

— Moriyama announced his own marriage in January 2025. Did that influence you at all?

“No, no, that had nothing to do with it. But, well, hopefully before I die (laughs). I’d like it to be with her.”

In the end, he fulfilled the marriage declaration he had made back then.

When Moriyama later asked him what had prompted him to take the step toward marriage, Lily replied:

“It’s a man’s responsibility, I guess. The weekly magazines caused her quite a bit of trouble because of me.”

Having both found wonderful life partners, the popular duo’s own blueprint of life (mitorizu) has surely become a bright and happy one.

Returning home from a yakitori date, the couple walked hand in hand. Although Lily was not wearing any disguise, the two openly enjoyed their date together.
At an intersection, announcer Nao Imagawa suddenly broke into a run, apparently flustered by the traffic signal beginning to flash. Lily hurried after her, desperately trying to keep up.
Imagawa looked surprised when approached by reporters. Meanwhile, Lily responded without hesitation, even turning the tables on the journalists by asking, “Where do stories like this come from? Seriously, where do they come from?”. He answered their questions without appearing intimidated.
Whenever the two were walking together, it seemed that she was the one doing most of the talking, while Lily took on the role of listener.
Lily quietly listened as she spoke.
When approached directly by “FRIDAY” reporters, she appeared startled, while Lily remained calm and composed.
