Hiroshi Kawahara ’64 was born in Fukuoka Prefecture. After moving to Tokyo to become a singer, he became an apprentice of “W Kenji.’ In 1987, he opened the first “Nanden Kanden” restaurant along Loop Route 7 in Hanegi, Setagaya-ku. At its peak, annual sales were 300 million yen and income exceeded 10 million yen per month.
