The wooded area where Yuki’s body was found. A mystery still remains as to why the suspect moved the body four times.

The “Mystery” that Still Remains

Yuki Adachi, 11, was found dead in a wooded area in Sonobe-cho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, and his father, Yuki Adachi, 37, was re-arrested on May 6 on suspicion of murder.

At a press conference announcing the re-arrest, the Kyoto Prefectural Police explained that the suspect admitted to interrogation that “I killed Yuki by strangling him with both hands,” and stated that he “did the murder alone. He did not reveal the motive for the murder. However, according to investigators, during a voluntary interview before his arrest, the suspect explained that on March 23, the day of the murder, he got into an argument in the car taking Yuki to school, and that he was told he was not the father.

This was met with some criticism on social networking sites, such as, “Is this really the motive? There are many comments on social networking sites, such as “Is this really the motive? Taihei Ogawa, a crime journalist who visited the scene of the incident and has been covering the case since its inception, said, “The suspect himself is not the real father,

The suspect himself knows best that he is not the real father. Both the victim and her mother know that. Would they kill the victim because they were told something they already knew? I think that is a weak motive.

I think it is a weak motive.

There are still many other “mysteries” about this case.

Soon after the incident was reported, there were many questions in the press and on social media such as, “Did Yuki really go to school? Why haven’t the police been able to find the culprit even though his backpack was found? The case unfolded like a mystery novel. The story unfolded like a mystery novel. The Kyoto Prefectural Police, on the other hand, made no press release at all, except for the fact that the backpack had been found.

Compared to a normal case, I think there were extremely few press releases. I am not defending the police, but I think they did the right thing in the end.

In the first place, there were calls from the beginning of the case that “the father was suspicious” and “I can only think he is lying,” but the question remains as to why it has taken so long. In response, Ogawa said,

I think it was the judgment of the commanding officer on the spot. For example, in another case, on April 19, a representative of an IT-related company was arrested by the Azabu Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for dumping the body of a male officer. Although the body was never found, the police arrested the suspect based solely on his statement. Subsequently, he was also indicted. In the Kyoto case, the police officers on the scene would have liked to have accompanied the suspect voluntarily earlier, but in this case, there were factors that the Kyoto police could not have anticipated, such as the movement of the corpse. As a result, I think it took longer.”

Meanwhile, the suspect’s mysterious behavior is still a “mystery. Why did he put down the backpack? Why did he move the body so many times? What is the real motive for the murder? The full-scale interrogation of the suspects has just begun. We are still waiting for the truth to be revealed.

On the FRIDAY Digital “Entertainment Reporter Channel” (YouTube), crime journalist Taihei Ogawa, who conducted on-site interviews of the “Kyoto Prefectural Police 6 Incidents,” talks about the “mystery” of the police investigation and the “mystery” of the suspects’ behavior. He talks about the “mystery” of the police investigation and the “mystery” of the suspects’ behavior.
