From Superstar “Finger-Paddling” to Quirky Comedians – A TV Person Reveals the Surprising Faces of Entertainers

The smiling faces and friendly characters of these “successful TV personalities” are well-liked on TV. But are these images really their true faces?
Many TV staff members say that they entered the industry because they admired them, but were disappointed by their on-the-spot behavior and felt a gap between “on-screen” and “real” personalities. An active TV personality quietly revealed episodes of “god talents” who were true to their image and “disappointing talents” who showed a side of themselves that was different from their image.
The Behavior of Actresses
Hana Sugisaki (28), who starred in the January season drama “Winter Something, Spring Something” (NTV), was a really nice person even when the cameras weren’t rolling.
She was really nice even when the cameras were not rolling,” said a staff member who was there when she appeared in one of the programs.
She was busy filming a TV drama, and when she heard that she was going to appear on the show, there was a bit of a tense atmosphere on the set. I heard that her schedule was quite tight, so I honestly felt that she might not have much time to spare.
But as soon as Ms. Sugisaki entered the scene, she looked around and politely greeted each and every staff member as well as the actors, saying, “I look forward to working with you. I remember that her smile made me feel relieved from the tension I had felt earlier. Rather than forcing himself to act cheerful, he was just being natural. I noticed that he was brightening the atmosphere of the entire site. I realized that having someone like that in the room naturally creates a good atmosphere onsite. Afterwards, all the staff members said that they had become her fans.
Another episode that is typical of the well-known “superstar” also came up.
She said, “I was on a variety show with Takuya Kimura (53) and a great actress, Ms. M. The recording went without a hitch, and the actress was able to perform. The recording went smoothly, and while the actors were returning to their dressing rooms, Mr. Kimura was chatting with the staff in the hallway. When Ms. M said, “Good work,” and was about to leave, Mr. Kimura snapped his fingers and said, “Good work, XX! and called the actress by her first name (laughs).
(Laughs.) Kimura’s actions and words, which would have been considered offensive by others, are like a scene from a TV drama! I was so impressed that Kimutaku is still Kimutaku behind the scenes.”
Some victims of bad conventions: ……
On the other hand, it is the duo comedian H who is pointed out to have shown a side of himself that is very different from his image.
When a celebrity or comedian appears on a TV show, a stylist basically prepares his or her outfit, but there are some who have a dedicated stylist accompanying them.
However, H often doesn’t like the clothes that are prepared for him. H is a dedicated stylist, so he knows what she likes. Although she is the exclusive stylist and should know her preferences, I have seen her reject the outfits many times. In the end, I often end up choosing the clothes I brought in myself, and I’m like, ‘Well, if that’s the case, don’t you need a stylist? I feel sorry for them.
He continues, “Of course, that in itself is not a bad thing.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. There is a balance between the mood of the day and the costumes of the other performers. However, it is also true that when I saw H’s behavior, I felt that he was a little mistaken (for a popular actor, etc.). I was even more disappointed in him because he has an image of being a family man and has many female fans.
The same is true of the industry’s heavy hitters, who have unexpected personalities. A, a well-known TV personality who has worked as an MC for many years, also has a secret side that he doesn’t show on TV.
In the live broadcast programs where A has been the MC for many years, it is customary for the announcers as well as the performers to go to A’s dressing room to greet him after the broadcast. However, on one occasion, the female announcer in charge of the program was unable to greet the audience due to her next work schedule. Then A was furious and called the announcer to her dressing room before the next week’s broadcast and lectured her in quite a swashbuckling manner. Frankly, the announcer was not to blame – and all the staff who were there knew it – but I was sorry that I could not say anything to A, so I just watched in silence. A is popular as a “big man” character, but behind the scenes, he is a “nasty big man.
Celebrities are in the business of popularity, where image is important. However, it is when the cameras are not rolling that the true qualities of a celebrity are put to the test.
