Yuki’s father, Yuuki Adachi (middle school age), is a suspect who was arrested on April 16. A neighbor of the family home told us about his true character (courtesy of an acquaintance).

He was the kind of person who would leave his children alone and go outside.

On impulse, he strangled her to death.

The body of Yuki Adachi, 11, a sixth grader, was dumped in a mountain in Sonobe-cho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture. The suspect, Yuuki Adachi, 37, a company employee in Sonobe, Nantan City, who is the father of Yūki, was arrested, stated this in response to a voluntary interview held prior to the incident.

After Yuki’s disappearance on March 23, her backpack was found on March 29, and her shoes on April 12. Then, on April 13, Yuki’s body was found in the mountains about 2 km away from the elementary school. There were no noticeable external injuries, and there were no signs of being buried or hidden.

On April 16, Kyoto police arrested Yuki on suspicion of abandoning the body. He is said to have confessed to the charge, saying ‘I am sure I did it,’ and to have also confessed to the murder.

The arrest was a sudden turn of events after the discovery of Yuki’s shoes. What kind of person was the suspect? When we visited Yuki’s parents’ house in the city, a neighbor told us the true face of the suspect.

He lived there more than 20 years ago,” said a neighbor. My grandparents and parents. There was a father at the time, but he left the family halfway through. (My father was the kind of person who would leave his children alone and go out. (I believe that my grandmother was the main person who took care of Yuuki and his brother.

After his parents’ divorce, the suspect was raised mainly by his grandmother. The resident also described his school days.

A map summarizing the sites where the bodies and artifacts were found. The map covers a wide area, but Yuuki has testified that he went there alone.

Not everything has been revealed yet.

A neighbor continued.

Yuseki was a quiet girl, not the kind of girl who would misbehave. She was an ordinary junior high school student. He used to play soccer in the park right in front of our house. He went on to high school. He was just a quiet kid, so I never thought he would kill anyone.

The incident has attracted a lot of attention as a “mystery” since its occurrence. The remains were found one after another in places far away from his home and school. Yuki’s body was suddenly found in a mountain forest where people were also gathering wild vegetables.

The “mystery” remains even now that the suspect, Yuki, has been arrested.

The involvement of the suspect had been suspected from the beginning of Yūki’s disappearance. The trigger was the reaction of the elementary school when they were informed of Yuki’s disappearance. While the rest of the family was shocked, the Yuki suspect was the only one who reacted as if he somehow knew that she had not been coming to school. From there, the prefectural police began to investigate the involvement of the suspect Yuuki.

In fact, they conducted a series of voluntary interrogations even before his arrest. Then, naturally, the prefectural police conducted kokaku (action confirmation). On the 17th, the police seized a passenger car that was being used by the suspect on a regular basis. We expect that the mystery will be solved by analyzing the drive recorder in the future.

The suspect is said to have told interrogators that he had no accomplices. The investigation will continue in order to find out the whole story.
