<p> A man was arrested on suspicion of using his position as a company executive to engage in indecent conduct with a woman who came for an employment interview.</p>
<p> The man, Masayuki Hori, 46, a former executive (resigned on April 9) of a real estate management company headquartered in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, appeared at the Takinogawa Police Station escort gate on April 10. Perhaps anticipating that reporters were waiting for him, he walked with his head tilted forward, hiding his face with his long bangs.</p>

<p><span class="strongInContent"> According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident took place last month at the office of a company in Kita-ku, Tokyo, during an employment interview for a woman in her 30s, which began in the morning with just the two of them. <p> When the woman returned to her room after buying a can of beer and a can of chuhai for herself, Hori turned off the lights and locked the door, then kissed her and touched her. When the woman resisted, Hori told her, &#8220;There are other people interviewing you,</p>

<p> He then continued to engage in the act. After the interview, the woman called 110 and reported the incident.</p>

In July 2012, Saito sexually assaulted a woman on a location bus during the filming of a variety show, and was charged with non-consensual sexual intercourse.</p>
<p> In addition, Hideo Sakaki, 55, a film director, was charged with quasi-rape for using his position as a film director to commit indecent acts against two actresses. In March of this year, the Tokyo District Court sentenced him to eight years in prison (with a 10-year sentence) for &#8220;a malicious and despicable act that greatly infringes on the sexual freedom of women. <p><span class="strongInContent"> It is quite plausible that the victim &#8220;thought she had received a job offer&#8221; when she was made to change into her work clothes. As for the fact that she was sent to buy alcohol, she probably thought that they were trying to have a relaxed conversation about her future and complied with the request. This is not unnatural. In other words, the suspect was so skillful in making the victim feel that way. The fact that he said, &#8220;I will make the final decision on whether to hire you or not,&#8221; while committing the indecent act, is quite premeditated and malicious. It was almost a threat, as if he was saying, &#8220;If you want me to hire you, you have to do what I say.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> However, they did not go as far as sexual assault like Saito and Sakaki. This probably means that the woman was able to successfully escape. And she immediately called 110. This was a great decision. If a step is taken, such as consulting someone, the possibility that evidence is lost or memories fade in the meantime and an arrest cannot be made increases. But as a result, if the case goes to trial, it may be more likely to result in a suspended sentence rather than jail time.&#8221;</span></p>
