With a melancholy expression… Hinako Sakurai plays a wife and a bad girl for the first time in a drama series in which she plays the leading role.

Adultery out of the blue. ……
Sitting in the director’s chair, a beautiful woman stares at us with a melancholy expression on her face. She is actor Hinako Sakurai, 29.
On this day in early April, when the temperature soared to nearly 25 degrees Celsius, filming was underway at a park in Chiba Prefecture for the drama series “Yomei 3 Tsuki no Salehuo” (TV Asahi), which will begin airing on April 24.
The drama is based on the popular comic of the same name, produced by the original IP manga company SORAJIMA, which has received over 100 million views in total. Aoi Kousaka, played by Shirasu Shun (33), is an elite salaryman working for a major construction company. Blessed with a loving wife and a cute son, he leads a happy, carefree life until he is diagnosed with a malignant tumor and told that he has only three months to live.
The heroine Sakurai plays the role of his wife, Kosaka Mitsuki. She learns of her husband’s illness and encourages him to fight the disease together, but behind his back, Mizuki is actually having an affair with a man who works at the café where she works, and she plans to collude with him to take all of Aoi’s inheritance. Aoi learns of the plan and vows to take revenge.
Sakurai, who until now has had a strong image of innocence, plays the role of a wife for the first time in this drama, and also her first “villainous” role. She also plays a villainous heroine for the first time. It has become a topic of conversation that she cut her hair by 20 cm to prepare for the role.
As mentioned at the beginning of this article, it was as hot as a midsummer’s day. Many staff members were wearing short-sleeved T-shirts, and a large umbrella was held above Sakurai’s head as he sat on a chair to protect him from the strong sunlight. Sakurai, wearing a long black coat, must have been feeling the heat, but his expression never relaxed as he waited, perhaps concentrating on his role.
As preparations began for filming, Sakurai seemed to be in full character as the “bad girl,” smiling fearlessly during the camera test, but her expression was so bewitchingly beautiful that it was hard not to get a kick out of it.
Sakurai, on the program’s official website, commented on her decision to play the role of a “bad girl”: “I’m very excited to play a bad girl,
I’m going to play a bad girl, and I want to make something that people will say is “especially interesting”.
I want to make something that people will say is “especially interesting”. What’s more, she added, “I’m actually married,
I’m actually playing a married woman for the first time. I’ve never played the role of the wife of a happy family, and I’m honestly nervous about suddenly having an affair or …… (laughs).
(Laughs). Sakurai’s newfound role as a “bad girl” is sure to be one to keep an eye on.
