Reflecting on the past

On March 29, former AKB48 member and actress Mariko Shinoda (40) suddenly announced on her SNS that she had remarried.

Looking back, her first marriage was also a shock. She got married to a man in 1975 after zero days of dating. They had a daughter together, but as is well known, they divorced in 1948 after a marital spat in which an audio recording was leaked as evidence of Shinoda’s infidelity.

After that, Shinoda’s first priority was her eldest daughter, whom she had custody of. She reflected on the mess during the divorce and was cautious about remarrying again.

Who was the man who won Shinoda over?

He is a divorced businessman, Mr. Koji Asano (46). He is divorced and we are both remarried. It seems that he and Ms. Shinoda met through a mutual acquaintance. He is a very professional person who is the complete opposite of the so-called ‘celebrity-loving, rich president.

The two began dating in 1949. This time, they took their time to grow closer.

When Mr. Asano asked Ms. Shinoda to be his girlfriend, she didn’t immediately say yes. Even so, he did not break, saying, ‘I will support not only Mr. Shinoda but also your daughter for the rest of my life as a family member,’ and she was moved by his seriousness. I heard that the deciding factor in their marriage was seeing their daughter and Mr. Asano interact as if they were father and son. Ms. Shinoda’s entertainment activities are going well, and this summer she is scheduled to appear in a drama series for a key station. For the time being, the couple will probably focus on their work together while building a new family.

The miraculous “thrust marriage” was made possible by the “father’s power” that healed the injured mother and child. This time, we wish them a long and happy life together!
