An employee of the Aichi Prefectural Police called out to the man as he came out of a hotel in Nagoya City. The man doesn&#8217;t seem to fight back. The prefectural police believed that the man was carrying illegal drugs and asked him to accompany them voluntarily.
On February 24, former &#8220;KAT-TUN&#8221; member, Kouki Tanaka (36), was arrested. He was suspected of violating the Methamphetamine Control Act (possession). Tanaka has denied the charges, saying, &#8220;I don&#8217;t know.

On January 30, after Tanaka checked out of the hotel, an employee was cleaning the room and found white crystals that looked like drugs. The hotel called the police and the incident was discovered. The suspect, Tanaka, was apparently carrying about 0.164 grams of methamphetamine. The day before, on January 29, he posted a bizarre photo of himself with tattoos all over his body on his Instagram.

On the day of his arrest, he was scheduled to perform at a live concert in Nagoya City, but was hastily canceled due to poor health. The police confiscated Tanaka&#8217;s smartphone and computer, and are investigating how he obtained the methamphetamine.
This is not the first time Tanaka has been caught with illegal drugs; in May 2005, he was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of violating the Marijuana Control Law (possession) (the case was dropped in June of the same year due to lack of evidence).
He was caught red-handed and arrested on the street in Shibuya, Tokyo but the case was dropped because there was no proof that the marijuana belonged to him.

Tanaka&#8217;s contract with Johnny&#8217;s Office, to which he belonged, was terminated in September 2001. In the same year, he opened a members-only bar in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo, without permission from the office.
He is said to have once stripped down to his top and swung a knife at a customer in the bar.

Tanaka seems to have obtained the drugs through a female acquaintance. In &#8220;FRIDAY&#8221; (June 23, 2005 issue), there is a vivid testimony from a restaurant owner who knows Tanaka well. I would like to quote him.

I was once contacted by one of Koki&#8217;s friends (friends for sexual intercourse), who said,&#8217;He is trying to force me to buy drugs.&#8217; She got to know him about five years ago, and  that he contacted her several times a week, urging her to buy drugs.
The manager speculates that Tanaka may have had the woman contact the drug dealer out of fear that he would be traced. He continued his testimony.
He had her buy all kinds of illegal drugs. Whenever he made a request to a woman, he would use cryptic words. Marijuana was called &#8220;vegetables&#8221; and highly addictive cocaine was called &#8220;charity. The&#8221; Gomeo &#8220;in the image (fourth related) image) is a type of hallucinogen called &#8220;Gomeo Dipto,&#8221; which is called the &#8220;ultimate aphrodisiac&#8221; because it abnormally increases sexual sensation.
At the time of his arrest in May 2005, Tanaka had vowed, &#8220;From now on, I will be aware of my actions and will reflect on my actions as a responsible member of society. He has once again betrayed the expectations of his fans by being reckless.
