Like in the Spider-Man movies, hero and heroine Tom Holland (right) and Zendaya have been romantically linked. Rumors of a secret wedding have also surfaced

Even a ceremony already done comment emerged

A famous stylist has sparked attention by claiming that the supercouple born from the Spider-Man series, Tom Holland (29) and Zendaya (29), are already married, though the couple themselves have remained silent—an unusual turn of events.

The claim came from Law Roach (47), a well-known stylist who has handled Zendaya’s outfits for years. On March 1 (local time), at the 32nd Annual Actors Awards in Los Angeles, Roach told Access Hollywood on the red carpet:

“The wedding’s already happened. You missed it.”

When asked if this was true, Roach reportedly replied:

“It’s true,”

before walking away.

Following this report, U.S. media outlets, including CNN with the headline “Zendaya and Tom Holland secretly married, stylist Law Roach claims,” quickly covered the story.

Tom and Zendaya met in 2017 while co-starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming and worked together again in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Dating rumors circulated, and in July 2021, paparazzi caught the two kissing in Tom’s car. Even after their relationship became public, the pair rarely spoke about it.

Then, at the Golden Globe Awards in January last year, Zendaya was seen wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger, sparking engagement rumors. The next day, their engagement was confirmed.

Amid this, Roach’s sudden claim that the wedding had already taken place drew further attention. U.S. media outlets such as TMZ reportedly reached out to the couple’s representatives for confirmation but received no response.

“A celebrity like Taylor Swift announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce with photos on social media, and Justin Bieber did the same when marrying Hailey Bieber. Engagements, weddings, and births are usually publicly shared on social media in Hollywood. But Tom and Zendaya are famously private. It’s entirely plausible they could have had a wedding without a public announcement,” said a Hollywood insider.

According to E! News, two weeks before Roach’s statement, Zendaya was seen wearing what appeared to be a gold wedding band on her left ring finger, different from her diamond engagement ring.

Protecting Their Privacy

Amid all this, past statements by Tom and Zendaya may provide a key to understanding why the couple has not publicly announced their marriage.

Tom previously told The Hollywood Reporter:

“Our relationship is something we protect very carefully, and we want to keep it as sacred as possible. I don’t think we owe anyone an explanation. This is about us.”

Zendaya also spoke in February this year during an interview with Interview magazine, while promoting the film The Drama with co-star Robert Pattinson:

“As public figures, there are unavoidable aspects, but some things should be kept for ourselves and for the people we love.”

It seems their policy is that private matters do not need to be shared with the media.

“Marriage is traditionally a joyous occasion that could be celebrated with fans, but if their personal policy is to protect their privacy as much as possible, it should be respected,” a Hollywood insider said.

The strict privacy stance likely stems from Tom’s position as the lead in the hugely popular Spider-Man series in the U.S., which made him a national idol. Reports initially suggested that producers advised him not to date Zendaya.

Announcing a marriage publicly could also trigger intensified paparazzi attention, and social media could lead to criticism or harassment from fans of either side. They may have wanted to avoid such public spectacle.

In any case, Tom and Zendaya’s careful separation of private life from professional work has made them a new type of power couple in Hollywood, attracting widespread attention.
