She played the role of Nemu in “Kamen Rider Zetsu.
When I found out that I had been cast, I was so surprised that my mind went blank, but at the same time I was so happy that tears welled up in my eyes. I couldn’t wait to start filming, so I spent the time until the filming began watching the past Kamen Rider series.
I play the role of Nemu, a ″popular national celebrity″ and every time I appear in the role, I am dressed in wonderful costumes that match the various scenes. The main character, Manzumo, is also one of Nemu’s fans. Many people know Nemu, and Nemu is a kind character who is close to the hearts of the dreamers (the people affected by the enemy monster, Nightmare, appearing in their dreams).
At first, I was just trying to be cheerful and energetic! but now that I have more scenes where I have to express various emotions, I am conscious of expressing myself close to Nemu’s heart, just as Nemu is close to the dreamer’s heart.
Satoe Mimura, who plays The Lady, has been giving me advice about the play and recommending cold-weather items while I am waiting (laughs). We have had many important and enjoyable conversations, and it has been a very fulfilling time for me.
I would like to give my best to the filming without forgetting my gratitude until the end. To all the viewers who are watching “Masked Rider Zeds” right now, and to those who will be watching it in the future, please enjoy it to the very end!
