<p> At the end of last year, a 40-year-old male FRIDAY reporter went home to his parents&#8217; house in Sendai and was scolded by his elderly mother. <p> When the reporter checked &#8220;Mercari,&#8221; he found that some extra-large pine cones sold for about 1,000 yen each, and driftwood for 5,000 yen. Also, perhaps because fewer households take newspapers these days, 10 kg sets of newspaper were selling for around 1,000 yen. They are probably used for crafts, calligraphy, wrapping, and other purposes.</p>
