Kasumi Arimura to appear in the TBS Sunday theater “GIFT” in the April season.

Looking cool in the bitterly cold weather.

It was the coldest February of the winter, with Yokohama City recording two centimeters of snow. At night, all the stores in the shopping district had their shutters down and there were no pedestrians in sight, making the air even colder and colder. However, in one section of the shopping street, there were many people gathered under the twinkling lights.

Almost everyone was dressed in black hooded jackets, hats, and scarves to protect themselves from the cold. However, among them, only one woman in a spring sweater and khaki pants stood with a cool expression. …… It was actor Kasumi Arimura, 33.

On February 10, it was announced that Arimura will appear in the April season TBS Sunday theater “GIFT,” starring Shinichi Tsutsumi (61).

The drama is a tale of bonding and rebirth set in a weak parasport wheelchair rugby team, in which they learn the importance of friends and family by competing against each other in a physical and emotional battle. Tsutsumi plays Fumito Gotetsu, an astrophysicist with a combination of brain and knowledge that is too much of a genius, who leads the weak team by chance. Arimura plays the role of Hitoka Kiriyama, a reporter for a lifestyle magazine, a woman whose encounter with wheelchair rugby through reporting takes her in an unexpected direction” (TV magazine writer).

Let’s return to the beginning of the story. While the crew was preparing for the shooting, Arimura stood with her hands in front of her in a good posture, perhaps concentrating on her performance, and did not make the slightest movement. When the voice finally said, “Start! was called, actor Yuki Yamada (35) in a wheelchair approached Arimura, who was standing alone.

Yamada plays the role of Ryo Miyashita, an ace player on a weak wheelchair rugby team who has lost his spark. As Yamada approached, Arimura’s expressionless face lit up and the two appeared to be engaged in some sort of conversation.

This is the first Sunday theater appearance for both Arimura and Yamada, who co-starred in the drama “Starman, This Star’s Love” (Kansai Television and Fuji Television) broadcast in 2001. Yamada talked about her role in this film on TBS’s official YouTube, “TBS Official YouTuboo,

Ryo is trying to live on his own because he is serious about wheelchair rugby. …… He is like his old self.

Arimura said, “There was a time when I was like that, wasn’t there?

I had a time like that, didn’t I?

Yamada replied, “There was a time like that, wasn’t there?

Yamada also responded, “There was a time like that, wasn’t there? (Yamada also responded, “There was a time when I was like that,” to which Arimura replied, “You know me well.

They know each other very well,” he said. Arimura talked about the drama,

As the word “GIFT” suggests, this story is about someone’s words or actions that make you realize and change. It is a story of change and growth. I believe that life is a series of gifts, and I hope that everyone who watches the film will cherish these gifts.

I hope that everyone who sees the film will cherish these things,” he said. The passionate performances by Arimura and Yamada are sure to be a highlight.
