In 2017, she won the Grand Prix at the 15th All-Japan National Beautiful Girl Contest and has since been active as an actress. Her second photobook, Title TBD, is scheduled for release on Thursday, March 19.

Role: Sakura Igarashi in Kamen Rider Revice

“Sakura Igarashi, whom I play, is a bright, strong-willed high school girl and karateka full of justice. She is the protagonist’s younger sister and hates seeing her family or loved ones get hurt. My favorite scenes that I hope people watch are in episodes 11 and 12, where she transforms into Kamen Rider Jeanne!

I still remember filming outdoors during the cold winter. To prevent white breath from appearing while acting, we were told to put ice in our mouths before the take. At the time, I didn’t understand and ended up eating all the ice the staff gave me. Everyone on set laughed and said, ‘You don’t have to eat it!’

There were many times when I was personally encouraged by Sakura’s strength, and Kamen Rider Revicebecame an irreplaceable work for me. It was exciting to see the show trend on social media every week, and of course there were many different opinions about Sakura.

But I stayed true to my own vision of Sakura and ran through to the end with determination. Even now that the show has ended, I feel like I want to play the invincible Sakura again! I hope I might get the chance to appear in a Kamen Rider spin-off someday (laughs).”
