Aya Nakajo spotted on set of April drama — dazzling style and standout visuals turn heads

Her visuals are overwhelming

A woman in a bench coat walked in front of a row of filming staff — standing out with a height a head taller than those around her, an astonishingly small face, and an outstandingly beautiful figure. It was the actress Ayami Nakajo (29).

On a midwinter day, a location shoot for the April Friday drama Tagusari Brothers (TBS) was being held on a street near Yokohama Chinatown.

“This is a crime suspense about brothers whose parents’ murder case reaches the statute of limitations just two days before the abolition of the statute of limitations for murder. They continue to pursue the truth in order to bring the culprit to justice with their own hands. The starring brothers are played by Masaki Okada (36) and Shota Sometani (33). Nakajo plays Shiori Kudo, a police sergeant who partners with Okada’s detective Makoto Tagusari,” (TV magazine writer).

Regarding the relationship between Makoto, who pursues the truth, and the promotion-driven Shiori, Nakajo commented on the TBS official website:

“I’d be happy if viewers enjoy watching how Makoto and Shiori, who start off mismatched, gradually close the distance and become true partners.”

However, according to a man who was watching the location shoot, they were already perfectly in sync rather than mismatched.

“It seemed they were waiting for filming, and Nakajo was standing next to the staff in her bench coat. When Okada, in his suit, came over, they were talking very happily. The atmosphere was friendly and lively. Their visuals together were overwhelming — they were incredibly dazzling,” said the onlooker.

After that, Nakajo took off her bench coat and filmed a scene walking along the street in a beige suit. She also said:

“When I first read the script, I found the structure very interesting — the past of the Tagusari brothers, which forms the core of the story, layers over itself and deepens the mystery more and more. As I kept reading, there were foreshadowings scattered everywhere, making it the kind of work you want to reread and enjoy like solving a puzzle.” (from the TBS official website)

A star-studded cast including Haruka Igawa (49) and Goro Kishitani (61) is also a hot topic, but expectations are rising for Nakajo as she takes on a detective role for the first time.
