Yuchami Spotted with Ex Masashi Kumura — Romance Rekindled!
A year and a half after her breakup, Reiwa's "white gal" has been approached by a comedian and an athlete, but her "favorite person" is still--

“Back together, just like old times”
Literally, there’s hardly a day you don’t see her on TV. Yuuna Furukawa (24), better known as Yuuchami, is busy with events, modeling, and variety show appearances.
On a night when Tokyo was gripped by freezing cold, she returned home just after 9 p.m. Known in some circles as someone who cancels baths, you might have thought she’d warm up in her bathtub—but before she could, she appeared on the main street.
She took a taxi to a small apartment. After spending about an hour there, she reappeared outside. Was it for a YouTube shoot, a meeting, or a private esthetic session? The answer became instantly clear.
Walking beside her was a strikingly handsome man with sharp, large eyes, almost like a wild animal. After a brief stroll chatting together (see photo above), they hailed a taxi and headed toward central Tokyo.
FRIDAY knows this man. There’s no way they could forget. It was Masashi Kumura (27), the fighter who was scooped about dating Yuuchami roughly three years ago.
“Their relationship started when Yuuchami became the official K-1 support girl in 2022. She told FRIDAY in an interview that she was drawn to Kumura, a fellow Osaka native and a muscular athlete, and approached him first. She studied to earn the qualifications for athlete nutrition and would go to his home to cook for him—she was completely smitten.
She publicly called Kumura her favorite and even proudly posed for two-shots with him at K-1 match venues. But in June 2024, she suddenly revealed on a TV program, ‘We recently broke up,’ surprising fans and insiders alike,” said an entertainment agency executive.
The “Reiwa White Gal” who went freelance didn’t go unnoticed. After the breakup, she reportedly received DMs from J2 soccer players and basketball players.
“You know, like, ‘Who are you?’ or ‘Come back after you make the national team!’”
She even revealed this on a variety show. Comedians like Shinichi (40) and Toshifumi Fujimoto (55) of FUJIWARA, as well as Kazushige Nagashima (60), openly expressed interest. Yet, Yuuchami’s answer was—back together, just like old times.
No matter how tired!
“Handsome fighter Kumura was expected to become a star following Takeru (34). However, he lost to his rival Akihiro Kaneko (29) and was eliminated in the semifinals of the much-anticipated ‘K−1 WORLD MAX 2024.’
To break free from this streak of losses, he transferred to RISE, but he also lost his first fight there by decision. Perhaps wanting to support the troubled Kumura, I hear they reconciled last year,” said a key TV producer.
In fact, amid her busy schedule, Yuuchami would make time to visit Kumura.
For example, on a day last December, she picked up Kumura, who was out for roadwork, by taxi and took him to a healthy seafood izakaya. The restaurant was in the area where the two had once lived semi-cohabiting. Along the way, a man who appeared to be a mutual acquaintance joined them. Perhaps reminiscing about old times, the three left the restaurant with genuinely happy smiles.
Though it was a short visit, they also spent Christmas Eve together. At 11:30 p.m. on the 23rd, the two returned to their love nest. The next afternoon, Yuuchami appeared from the apartment without makeup and hurriedly left by taxi.
The depth of Yuuchami’s love was evident in mid-January.
After performing at the ‘SDGs Promotion TGC Shizuoka 2026’ in Shizuoka, she appeared live on ‘Sunday Japon’ (TBS) the next day. After participating in an all-day disaster preparedness event in Oita the following morning, she took a taxi again to Kumura’s place.
After spending the night together, she yawned on her way home, but as far as FRIDAY observed, she remained utterly devoted to Kumura.
There were days when she used a spare key to open the auto-lock and head to his apartment. Sometimes up to three times a week, no matter how exhausted, she would rush to her beloved Kumura whenever she had a moment.
Yuuchami’s agency told FRIDAY, “Her private life is left to her discretion.”
“Kumura once said to FRIDAY, ‘Mental strength is important in martial arts. She’s always cheerful, and I get good vibes from her.’”
There is likely no other victory goddess so devoted, stylish, and beautiful.
