Medal Hopes ★★★★
Sara Takanashi will compete in her 4th consecutive Olympics since Sochi ’14. 15 years old, she is the youngest skier in history to win a gold medal at the World Cup, and since then she has won 63 individual championships and 116 podiums, both Guinness World Records. Both are Guinness World Records. However, she has not won a World Cup since March 2010 in Oslo, Norway. 53-year-old ski jumping legend Noriaki Kasai, who is still active in the sport, tells us, “My father and older brother are both jumpers.
He was a gifted skier from an early age, and his father and older brother were both jumpers,” said Kasai. However, a few years ago, the number of female skiers increased worldwide, and the level of their performance rose dramatically. Ms. Takanashi is no longer an absolute leader.
At first, you must have felt impatient with your rivals from around the world. However, after going through a difficult period, Takanashi must have calmed down, and she must have been able to look at herself calmly. Her jumps this season have been very stable.
Takanashi himself said at a press conference before the World Cup Zao (Yamagata Prefecture) in January this year.
I had been competing in a difficult situation, but in the last few rounds, I finally found my kick.
Takanashi, who has found a response to her revival after suffering, is now ready to make another leap forward.
