A woman running lightly, smiling brightly at the camera, and waving her hand. It was actress Yuko Araki (32).
On January 19, in Harajuku (Shibuya, Tokyo), the fashion brand DIOR held the opening preview for its pop-up event, Dior Addict Candy Shop, attracting many celebrities.
“On the day, as the brand’s ambassadors were scheduled to appear, a large number of fans gathered. Araki was appointed Japan ambassador in 2020. Since then, she has regularly appeared at the brand’s shows held in Paris, France,” said a fashion magazine reporter.
Araki appeared in a light blue blouse paired with a green mini-skirt featuring a unique design. During the press conference at the venue, when asked about her goals for this year, she replied:
“I want to challenge myself with voice training. I’d like to deepen my vocal expression a little more. I hope it will bring about some changes.”
After the event, Araki left the venue at a brisk pace, waving to fans who were waiting.
Another celebrity welcomed by fans waiting in the chilly weather was fashion model and actress Rikako Yagi (24).
“Yagi was chosen as the grand prize winner from 7,851 applicants in the 2015 audition held by model agency Asia Cross, debuting as a model under the mentorship of her senior, Kiko Mizuhara (35). The following year, she was selected as the brand character for Pocari Sweat, quickly gaining recognition.
In the same year, she made her acting debut in The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Nippon TV). In 2024, she co-starred with Ryo Ryusei (32) in Sennyuu Kyoudai: Tokushu Sagi Tokumei Sousakan (Nippon TV). That same year, she was appointed Dior Japan Ambassador,” said a TV magazine writer.
On the day, Yagi appeared in a light blue striped top with a matching knee-length flared skirt. Holding a pink pouch, she also waved to fans with a smile and left the venue, just like Araki.
The refreshing smiles of the two, like a spring breeze, surely met the expectations of their fans.
