Haruka Kadowaki, a newcomer who appeared in “Beloved” three months after her debut as a social recluse: “I want to play the heroine in the morning drama.
Interview with a fresh 21-year-old actress who is trying her hand at gravure for the first time!
Haruka Kadowaki (21), a new actress who made her debut in the entertainment world in August 2013 and played the role of a geisha in the historical drama “Belabo: Tsutaje Eika no Yume Banashi” (NHK) in November, was photographed for the first time in the January 29 issue of “FRIDAY” and we asked her how she felt.
She told us what she thought of her first gravure shoot. ……
I was very nervous at first. I didn’t know where to look for the camera, and my expression was a little stiff. But as the shoot progressed, I gradually got used to the camera and began to understand how I should move and how to improve my facial expressions.
In the end, I enjoyed the shoot. Among the outfits, I especially like the purple knit outfit with flowers and the black dress. It looked like something an actress would wear to an awards ceremony.”
Before her first shoot, she prepared carefully.
I honestly didn’t know what to do for the shoot. ……. But I did what I could do steadily, massaging and moisturizing my skin every day in a way that I didn’t know how to do.
During the shoot, the staff complimented me a lot on my waist and abs, but I still think it’s not quite enough for me. I learned a lot about posing and facial expressions by watching other people’s gravures.”

Her goal is to appear in a morning drama.
Recently, I’ve been watching “My Hero Academia. The anime aired until the last episode last December, so I’ve been following it and watching it. I’m also into visiting yogurt bowl stores with my friends! I especially like the Greek yogurt with fruit on top, where you choose your toppings.”
Although she seems to be leading a full life, she says that she did not go to school during her high school years. After graduating from high school, she stayed at home for a while, but in ’23, she watched the drama “What day was I born on” (TV Asahi), in which actor Marie Iide (28) played the main character of a shut-in, which gave her the courage to return to society.
She set her sights on becoming an actress and appeared in a major drama at the astonishingly early stage of her career, just three months after her debut. She recalls her experience with humility, “It was really only a small part, but I played a geisha.
I was surprised to find that more people than I had expected were involved in the production of the work. That’s why I felt I had to do well. But I also felt a sense of discomfort about being on TV, and I didn’t want to see myself in the drama. It still feels very strange.”

A little embarrassed by her first TV appearance, she talked about her future goals.
I would like to appear in many productions and one day play the heroine in a morning drama. I have always admired Masami Nagasawa and Hana Sugisaki, and I want to become a wonderful actress like them.
As for gravure, she expressed her ambition for the next shoot, saying, “I hope I can relax a little more than I did this time. Haruka Kadowaki, in her short time since her debut, has been expanding her activities in a variety of fields, including TV dramas and gravure. We look forward to seeing her growth and success in the future.
