Ex-Teacher Confesses Grotesque Acts on Boy, Offered Him a Reward

“My sexual preference is such that when I see small boys, I inevitably feel sexual desire. On top of that, I had many work-related and interpersonal problems, so I think those troubles may have been the trigger.”
The former male teacher of a Chiba municipal elementary school (then 27), who was charged with indecent kidnapping and non-consensual indecent acts against three boys, stated this motive during the trial.
On December 11, 2025, the Chiba District Court handed down a verdict for the former teacher.
Presiding Judge Shu Mizukami said, “There is no room for leniency for such selfish motives. This was a vile and malicious crime, deserving strong condemnation,” and sentenced him to three years in prison, suspended for four years with probation (prosecution sought three years).
“On June 16, 2025, the Ichihara Police Station in Chiba Prefecture arrested the former teacher on suspicion of indecent kidnapping and non-consensual indecent acts. On May 11, he allegedly lured A (then 9 years old) and B (then 7 years old), who were playing in a park in Chiba Prefecture, by saying things like ‘Come with me, I’ll move the car,’ and abducted them by putting them into a passenger car parked on the street.
Afterward, he allegedly committed indecent acts inside the car, such as showing his genitals to A and B, saying ‘Guard me while I change clothes,’ and touching A’s genitals. The incident came to light the same day when someone connected to the boys called 110. The Ichihara Police Station investigated using security camera footage, leading to his arrest. On August 8, the Chiba City Board of Education dismissed the former teacher from his position.” (Reporter from a national newspaper’s social affairs desk)
After the arrest, the former teacher admitted to the charges, saying, “I couldn’t suppress my sexual desire to touch the lower body.” Furthermore, during the interrogation, he revealed that he had also committed indecent acts on another boy, stating, “While in detention, I decided to atone for my crime. If I atone for my crime while hiding additional offenses, I will regret it for the rest of my life. I decided to speak honestly.”
According to his statement, on April 12, he went to a park in Chiba Prefecture in his own car, where he found C (8 at the time) playing with friends and committed indecent acts, including directly touching C’s genitals.
Subsequently, the former teacher was arrested and prosecuted for non-consensual sexual acts against C. However, since he voluntarily confessed, the offense was treated as a self-surrender. According to his lawyer, a settlement was reached with C’s guardians, who expressed that they did not wish for criminal punishment.
Even though it wasn’t for a sexual purpose
The former teacher, who was charged with two crimes—non-consensual indecency against A and C, and indecent abduction of A and B—answered his lawyer’s question, “Why did you go to the park where the incident occurred?” by saying, “I had many work-related worries and went to the park to refresh myself by enjoying nature,” indicating that he did not go there with a sexual intent. However, he said that while talking with the boys, he developed the desire to commit indecent acts.
“I called out to A and B to play, but the feeling of wanting to commit indecent acts arose, so I invited them into my car. During the act, when A said ‘No,’ I felt hesitation, but ultimately my sexual desire won.
When I saw C, I wanted to find more places to enjoy nature, so I asked, ‘Are there any other parks around here?’ and he guided me. Then, when we returned to the original park, I felt the desire to commit indecent acts and said something like, ‘I’ll give you a reward if you show me your lower body.’”
As mentioned at the beginning, the former teacher explained his motive for the crime.
Although he was aware of his sexual tendencies, why did he consider becoming a teacher? In response to the prosecutor’s questions, the former teacher explained as follows.
“I’ve never felt sexual desire while working.”
“I realized around middle school that when I see young boys, I feel a sexual desire to look at or touch their bodies. However, I thought of my work and my sexual urges as separate things. In fact, I never felt sexual desire during work or at the workplace.”
Currently receiving treatment for a sexual preference disorder at a specialized clinic, the former teacher said, “I am also interested in women, so I want to direct my sexual interest toward women rather than young boys.” To this, Presiding Judge Mizukami responded:
“Correcting the focus of sexual interest is not about curing it through treatment, but about how you manage and live with it. Having sexual interest in young boys is not your fault, nor is it a crime in itself.
However, acting on it is the problem. You need to think about how to prevent acting on it and be able to control your own behavior. You understand that, right?”
The former teacher nodded strongly and replied, “Yes.”
After being arrested and released on bail, the former teacher now works with his father at a company run by relatives, under his father’s 24-hour supervision.
“I have promised not to go to places where children gather, such as parks or shopping malls,” the former teacher said.
Although he lost his job, the question remains whether he can rehabilitate within society and ensure he never commits a crime again.
