A brawl broke out early in the event as organizers

Brawl at the beginning of the event

A large number of popular rappers and brawlers attacked the event!

At the end of last year, an event hall in Sakai City, Osaka, was enveloped in an unusual atmosphere of excitement as an experimental event called “MURDERATION,” which combines HIPHOP and martial arts, was held.

The aim of the event was to “fuse two cultures that have a high affinity for each other but have never officially crossed paths. The organizers were popular rapper Han a.k.a. GAMI (47) and martial artist and WBF world heavyweight champion Tomoya Takahashi (38).

On December 28, at 2:00 p.m., the event was filled with disquiet as soon as it began.

A group of amateurs were selling me a fight.”

Takahashi, one of the organizers, dared to say so. Han and the rest of the rapper team responded, and the atmosphere in the venue heated up. A group brawl ensued.

As the crowd jostled, one of the rappers hit Takahashi on the head with a pipe chair. Takahashi lifted up the rapper and slammed him into a nearby desk, which was cut in half with a tremendous clattering sound.

After security stopped the brawl, the main event of the day, a battle between brawlers, began. A rapper team and a fighter team each called for a brawl, and a one-minute fistfight ensued.

The first match was between “Strongest Security” Naoki Nakamura (Rapper Team) and “Brazilian brawler” Felipe Daenecas (Martial Artist Team). Both fighters exchanged blows at the bell, which excited the audience.

Before the second match began, rapper Benizakura (38), who was named a secret guest by organizer Han, and Bonzu (40), another rapper who also appeared on “Breaking Down 6,” performed a freestyle. The audience shook their heads in time to the two rappers’ exhaled verses, and the excitement of the audience grew even higher as they prepared for the second match.

The second match pitted “Fukushima’s Strongest Rapper” DAZUO (Rapper Team) against “Temmenden’s Rampaging Daruma” Koshi Kasei (Martial Artist Team). The two teams also started off with a fierce exchange of blows, and the match went back and forth.

The audience was excited from the very first match!
The second match was another intense fistfight.

The organizer revealed the response to the event.

After the two-and-a-half-hour event, organizer Han shared his thoughts on “MURDERATION” with FRIDAY Digital. After the two and a half hour event, organizer Han revealed his thoughts on “MURDERATION” to FRIDAY Digital.

Originally, I thought HIPHOP and martial arts would go well together. There were times when we were invited to rap as guests at underground martial arts events, but it was difficult to say that they matched beautifully. So we were looking for something new to do.

MURDERATION” is not focused on attracting an audience. We are aiming to put a fight between men, like the one we had today, into a music video as a single work. To be honest, we are still exploring some things. Even so, I saw some very good fights today. I hope to brush up on it and make it even more exciting in the future.”

Takahashi, the other organizer, rubbed his head where he had been hit by a chair and reflected, “I’m still numb (laughs).

I’ve been working with Han-san on the idea for about a year and a half. To be honest, martial arts are not that popular nowadays. On the contrary, HipHop is very popular, and I’m hoping to sell the name of the fighters to the HipHop fan base. I’d like to invite famous rappers and big fighters to help get the word out.

Bonjin and Benizakura, who performed an impromptu freestyle, also had a good impression of the event.

We didn’t know what we were going to do until the day of the event, but we did an impromptu freestyle (laughs). I was excited by the way he fought until the end of the match. I was really moved. I am looking forward to seeing the second round. However, during the first brawl, everyone’s eyes were a little crazy (laughs).

There were so many rappers, and I was the youngest. So I had no choice but to make them eat me. I came up from the footpath between rice paddies in the countryside. I have my own willpower, and fighters have their own willpower. It’s really cool to see people like that fighting.

What kind of developments will be seen in this new event that crosses two street cultures?

After the event, the organizers and participants were all present for a photo.
