Yonsentoushin’s Takumi Goto Opens Up on Street Kisses and Happy Cohabitation
25 Years of Love Scoops: "After That Love Scoop" Takumi Goto and his New Girlfriend
When it comes to Takumi Goto (28) of the comedy trio “Yonsentoushin,” he was once a top-selling comedian who lived in a high-rise tower apartment and commuted to work in a luxury foreign car. However, since around 2023, his work sharply declined. Now, he has become adept at turning his fall from the city episodes into laughs. Behind this downhearted man, there was a supportive beauty. Looking back on an article published on August 28, 2025:

He looked at her with affection
That night, the rotary in front of a private railway station in a residential area about 15 km from central Tokyo was deserted. Being in the middle of the Obon holiday period was probably part of the reason. Two taxis were waiting to pick up customers who had missed the last train, though one of the drivers was fast asleep.
Around 2 a.m., three young people emerged from a large chain karaoke near the station.
Wearing a cap, T-shirt, cargo shorts, and sandals, it was Takumi Goto (28) of the comedy trio “Yonsentoushin.” His usual low-key, muttering comedic style was called laid-back manzai, but that night he was in full-on energetic mode, using gestures and animated talk, looking genuinely happy.
After hugging a male friend, Goto was guided to the taxi whose driver was awake.
Nearby, a beauty resembling Rino Sashihara ran up to the taxi and waved “Bye-bye!” through the window.
Left alone in the empty rotary, Goto and the beauty waited, but no empty taxi appeared. The woman finally spoke to the dozing taxi driver, but the negotiation failed. Smiling wryly, she returned. Watching her affectionately, Goto’s expression turned serious, and their silhouettes quietly overlapped.
After chatting leisurely for over five minutes, an empty taxi finally arrived. They headed to a modest yet neat apartment a short distance away and entered the building together.
“A while ago, on a TV program, he admitted that he disappeared, but it seems he broke up with the stage actress he was dating about three years ago. ‘Yonsentoushin’ had been working nonstop for two years at their peak, but as the seventh-generation boom ended, their work sharply declined. Around that time, Goto couldn’t pay the rent and had to move from a city tower apartment.
It was Ms. A who supported him in that period of despair. She’s a private individual, and apparently Goto won her over after a fierce pursuit. They’re already living together, and unless work calls him away, the two are almost always together. He’s even introduced her to friends and his agency, so marriage is probably on the table,” said a friend of Goto.
FRIDAY also witnessed a scene confirming this. On a day when the country was hit by a brutal heatwave nearing 40°C, Goto left the apartment. At almost the same time, Ms. A appeared at a window facing the street and tossed something. Goto picked it up—it seemed to be a sweat wipe—and proudly held it up while she waved, saying, “Have a good day!”
When asked about living together and marriage, Goto’s agency replied, “We leave his private life up to him,” neither confirming nor denying.
Having left behind his city tower apartment and celebrity girlfriend, Goto had finally gained far more comfortable daily life.
That was a lie
Following the FRIDAY scoop, Goto posted on the official YouTube channel of “Yonsentoushin,” Yon Tube (Yonsentoushin), which boasts 574,000 subscribers, saying:
“Recently, I ended up kissing someone on the street.”
He shared a video in which he consulted with fellow members and senior comedians, worried that netizens might hurl abusive comments. The comment section, however, was flooded with messages like, “A weekly magazine article has never been this funny lol” and “So stupid but hilarious,” showing that Goto’s worries were unnecessary.
As of now, the video has recorded 74,000 views. However, even though he continues to upload frequently, only about half of his videos exceed 10,000 views, showing that he is still struggling. On December 20, he released a video titled, “[Emergency] Is it true Goto got 120 million yen?”
The video examined a news story from an online media outlet that was published 11 months earlier. Goto confessed:
“I wanted to urgently tell everyone that it’s fake news. I really, truly did not get that money.”
He also insisted:
“It’s really a lie, okay? About the online news and the street kiss too—that was a lie.”
Fellow member Takuki Tsuzuki (28) added a retort:
“Hey, that wasn’t online news. That was an article!”
To which Goto muttered quietly:
“Ah that won’t work, huh.”
Next year, hopefully, he will step out of the fall from the city jokes and truly shine again as a comedian.
