Inside Kyoko Hasegawa’s Secret Celebrity Relationship with an Elite Businessman

With an average check exceeding 40,000 yen, the ultra-popular Italian restaurant—already fully booked through the end of June 2026—was visited one night in early December by a stunning woman exuding an extraordinary aura. She wore a black coat with black-rimmed glasses, yet her feet were clad in pure white stockings and bright red high heels, a style impossible for ordinary people to pull off. In her left hand, she carried a handbag from the Italian high-end brand VALENTINO.

Passersby couldn’t help but do a double-take—this was actress Kyoko Hasegawa (47).

“Hasekyo started her career in 1996 as an exclusive model for the women’s fashion magazine CanCam and made her acting debut in the 2000 drama Love Chat (Fuji TV). She went on to star in numerous popular works such as Boku Dake no Madonna (Fuji TV) and Oishii Proposal (TBS), rising to become a beloved actress. In her private life, she married Porno Graffitti guitarist Shinobu Haruichi (51) in 2008 and became a mother of two children, but divorced in 2021,” said an entertainment reporter for a sports newspaper.

In recent years, Hasekyo has expanded her work, showing a big-sister-like side on Gootan Nouveau 2 (Fuji TV) and posting cool cooking videos on her YouTube channel. Even in her 40s, she continues to appear in cosmetics commercials and events, earning her high support from women as a beauty icon.

Waiting for Hasekyo in a dim alley near the popular Italian restaurant was a gentleman with slicked-back hair, reminiscent of Taizo Sugimura but more rugged. Led by him, she entered the restaurant, and for the next three hours, the two enjoyed the gourmet offerings of the fully booked famous restaurant.

Around 10 p.m., Hasegawa emerged from the restaurant alone. She got into a taxi headed toward her home, leaving the gentleman inside the restaurant. A few minutes later, the gentleman exited the restaurant and walked in the opposite direction.

FRIDAY did not witness the two only on this day. In early November, after finishing an event for the lifestyle brand she produces, Hasegawa headed to a wine bar in Daikanyama, decorated with antique furniture. The same gentleman sat next to her by the window, and the two enjoyed an hour of private time together.

Bonding Over Business

Who exactly is this man repeatedly enjoying these celebrity rendezvous with Hasekyō?

“He’s Mr. A, a company executive. He’s seven years younger than Hasegawa. After advancing straight through the education system from elementary school, he graduated from a prestigious private university, then joined a foreign securities firm. While working as a finance professional, he also founded an NPO and energetically tackled issues such as poverty and food shortages overseas. He has since gone independent and started his own business, currently running an apparel brand in Tokyo,” says an acquaintance of Mr. A.

A few years after Mr. A, Hasegawa herself established a company in 2025, where she serves as CEO, and has entered the manufacturing and sales of apparel and cosmetics.

“I’ve heard they met through a mutual acquaintance. Perhaps because they’re both business owners, they hit it off immediately, and apparently Mr. A sometimes visits Hasegawa’s home. They’ve probably been dating for about six months now,” the same source says.

Is Hasekyō’s life as a single mother finally coming to an end? In mid-December, FRIDAY directly approached Mr. A for comment, but he remained silent throughout. Later, FRIDAY again contacted the company he runs to ask about the nature of their relationship and any plans for marriage, but no response was received by the deadline.

Meanwhile, Hasegawa’s agency replied, “Regarding questions about her private life, we leave such matters to her own discretion, so we will refrain from commenting as a company.”

Hasekyō will mark the 30th anniversary of her debut in 2026. There’s little doubt her new partner will be running alongside her in this milestone year.
