Ai Tominaga Shares Her Pregnancy News and Wows Fans on a Ginza Street with Her Striking Presence

Model and actress Ai Tominaga (43) updated her Instagram on December 20, 2025, announcing that she is expecting a child with actor Ikken Yamamoto (39).

Tominaga opened her post with a greeting accompanied by an image of the seaside bathed in the sunset. She continued:

〈While feeling moments of confusion and anxiety, I face each change one by one, spending each day supported by my son, Akitsugu〉

Here she also mentions her eldest son, Akitsugu Tominaga (20), who is also a model and actor.

“Tominaga married a Japanese patissier in 2004 and gave birth to Akitsugu in 2005. However, they divorced in 2009. Since then, she has raised Akitsugu as a single mother. On the other hand, Yamamoto made his acting debut relatively late, starring in the 2021 film JOINT. Before that, he played in the 3×3 professional basketball league and worked at a hot spring inn. He is currently focusing on acting in films and stars in the 2025 movie Hi no Hana.

He also has a side as a farmer. On the agriculture-focused site MyNavi Agriculture, a feature article on Yamamoto was published on November 20, 2025. It seems he began farming in Niigata after starring in Hi no Hana and now splits his time between Tokyo and Niigata. Yamamoto mentioned, 〈In winter, there isn’t much to do in the fields, so maybe I’ll focus on acting〉,” according to a film magazine journalist.

On the site, Yamamoto also said, 〈I’m not really someone who can sit still and work〉, showing that he is quite a free spirit.

Tokyo’s Ginza was bustling with many office workers and shoppers, as it was a weekday. From a black minivan that stopped momentarily on the street, Ai Tominaga stepped out.

“On this day, at the Tiffany Ginza main store, a ceremony was held to commemorate its renewal opening. Ms. Tominaga was wearing the latest pieces from the pinnacle high jewelry collection, ‘Blue Book 2023: Out of the Blue,’ as well as the brand’s iconic Icons collection,” said a fashion magazine editor.

Draped in a black long dress that revealed her shoulders and upper chest, with a body line sharply accentuated, standing eight heads tall—or perhaps nearly nine—passersby’s eyes widened in astonishment, and their movements froze for a moment. It was not hard to imagine the scene becoming chaotic at the sudden “descent” of a supermodel’s overwhelming aura in such an ordinary setting.

Although Ikken Yamamoto has become a father, according to Josei Jishin (December 23, 2025 edition):

“Ms. Tominaga likes Mr. Yamamoto’s free-spirited nature, and she has said to those around her, ‘I will support him,’ ‘He should just work freely and enjoy himself.’”

At this point, there are no plans for marriage. While she may scale back her work for a while, she will surely soon show her full-aura, stunning self once again. For now, we hope for the safe birth of a healthy child.
